Ballard getting some snaps

Is that nobodys defense was focused on containing Alex Smith. Andrew Luck is going to be a huge part of Ballards early opportunities.
I worried about Dixon not getting enough playing time. I feared that the league wouldn't give him enough of a chance to succeed. For Dixon, the more snaps in a game, the more effective he becomes. Maybe he can be more appreciated somewhere else.

Ballard did look good. He ran the ball well from the goal line and caught that pass off the his shoe tops. If you watched close, he did a good job in blocking too. They have a fair amount of guys in Indy's backfield though, but he looked better than everyone but Brown. Announcers fubarred when they said it was Ballard that fumbled instead of Evans. Announcing during preseason has been poor at best. I hope he does well.
Unless someone gets hurt or there's some strange cut, there's no way he makes the team. He played most of the second half the other night at RB and FB. He missed picking up blitzes and made some mental mistakes. He's toast.
