nope, you need to look again, Carr didnt shoot nearly as well from the outside and he couldnt dream of passing as great as Folgueiras does. passing the ball is why you go for him first to start, not only does he score himself but he accounts for others scoring pts too. Think back to 1998 and why Scott Padgett was so pivotal to a title team

Look at his numbers, 0.3 made and 0.7 attempts a game. thats in Oates 3pt attempt offense that was more than our team shot, let that tell you something, 60% FT's suggests he would have shot a lot worse had he attempted more Folgueiras is a legitimate 40%+ 3pt shooter.

I think you try and get both for sure but if its one or the other if Pope chooses Dio here , I just pray the guy kills it this year

I was referencing the guy saying Carr was better than Alvaro. Carr got 5 rebounds a game and Alvaro is around 10. Also 32%3 for Carr and above 40 for Alvaro. Alvaro had 15/10 against Bama in the tourney so no, in no way is Alvaro a step down from Carr

Agree for sure. And I like the way you discussed positives regarding Folgueiras without feeling the need to try to impugn Carr to make your point. A healthy Carr was a heck of a college PF. I'd be happy to have Carr as UK's PF/PF tandem any year. He's gone now, and Folgueiras, in my mind, is the guy UK needs at PF.

Yeah I really liked Carr. Back injuries are killers and you could tell he was playing in pain.

Thinking about the intangibles, one of the reasons I loved Butler was he was a winner.

We need winners on this team.

This dude is a winner. Helped Bama to their first Final Four and then back to the Elite Eight.

I’d take him in a heartbeat.

Alabama fan here. As I’ve already mentioned, in the right, dare I say slower paced system, I could see him getting a lot more minutes and thus becoming a consistent 14-9 kind of guy. Not sure, especially dealing with blue bloods, he’s ever going to be better than the 5th player on the court (maybe less at UK). Can’t believe we are at a point in sports where his value is seven figures. Happy for the kid and as other have said a great team needs somebody like him. Would love to still have him at Bama but in Oats system that price tag just doesn’t make sense.

This guy is kind of mean. Not just physical. Have watched him in other games not us. Do we want the physicality over the shot blocking

Dioubate was one of the primary reason Oweh broke his double digit points streak. Other really struggled with his length/athleticism/quickness combo

…….that and foul trouble

Would love to add Dioubate. Especially if it’s a question of him vs Mgbako
