I am so sick of bandwagon fans, especially BAMA. I am surrounded by them in Petal, MS. At church, in the neighborhood, friends on Facebook, even my wife. Anyway, I posted this on Facebook. I made it up. Kinda corny, but I thought it was funny. Only one BAMA fan has responded(they actually graduated from there.)
It is true that I like to pick on fans of the Almighty Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team. Not because I don't think they love their team(they REALLY love them), or because they have a bad team(they are REALLY good), but because I think most of them are what I like to call "BandWagoners". Most of you know what I mean.
I decided to conduct a survey of a few BAMA fans to prove my point. The names and faces of the ones interviewed shall not be revealed. These fans were born and raised in MISSISSIPPI yet they cheer for ALABAMA. Below are several questions that were asked, and these are the so-called fans answers. You be the judge: True Fan or Bandwagoner.
1. What is the Capital of Alabama?
"That's easy, Tuscaloosa of course. Ask me something harder."
2. How many Heisman Trophy winners has Alabama had in football?
"I'm not exactly sure on this one, but I'll say 15 to 20?"
3. How many National Championships does Alabama REALLY have?
"14 because THEY told me so."
4. Even in 1941 when Mississippi State actually had a better record and were conference champs of the SEC?
"Huh, where you hear that?"
5. Who is the current Head Basketball Coach of the Crimson Tide?
"Don't know, Don't care. Next question please."
6. Who is the current Head Baseball Coach of the Crimson Tide?
"We have a baseball team?"
7. Were you surprised by all of the support from Auburn fans and players who provided aid to folks in Tuscaloosa after the tornado?
"There was a tornado in God's Country?"
