Am I crazy or did it look like several of Bama's players were trying to draw a PF on LSU? I can't seem to find the replay, but several of them were pushing and shoving before the end of the play. Looked like something they had been taught in that situation.

I thought that to myself the moment the play ended when multiple Bama players were getting overly chippy. Because it was a few of them, I wouldn't be shocked if they were instructed to do it, though there is no way to prove it.

There was a lot of pushing and shoving on both sides after that play. Should have been called offsetting penalties. Still no excuse for the LSU player putting himself in the position for that call to be made. You're 4 yards away from going up 17-10 and icing the game. You can't get caught up in petty pushing and shoving after the play. You just can't. If I'm Les Miles, that guy is still running sprints.

Good chance that it was a strategy to get a flag on LSU. Especially considering the acting job by the Bama player that fell backward 15 to 20 feet. He was definitely selling it.

Those a-holes were pushing & shoving at the end of a lot of the plays. We need to ignore that **** this weekend.

Completely agreed. I know it's hard not to let that kind of stuff get to you in the heat of the moment, but it's usually the retaliation that gets called. It's unfortunate, but I agreed with the call. He gave the official more than enough reason to throw the flag and at that point, it's in the official's hands as to how he saw it. That penalty cost the the game, IMO... Moreso than the squib kick.

One thing I just remembered about that play. It wasn't a personal foul call. It was unsportsmanlike conduct. Which leads me to think it may have been something he said, rather than the shove, that drew the penalty. Hard to say if that call cost them the game or not, because we don't know if LSU would have scored a TD from 2nd and goal at the 4. But it definitely changed that possession completely.
