Here's the fun part.

Florida will be lurking at number 4 or 5. If Notre Dame were to lose next week, going into championship week there could conceivable be 3 SEC teams in the top 4. Could Florida sneak in the back door and meet Bama in the title game? I doubt the voters would let that happen, but that scenario is still in play. It all depends on how far Notre Dame falls if they lose and if Florida could pass Oregon in the polls.

I'm not sure they would have much choice but to let two SEC teams play again if the chips fall that way. Oregon and ND are the only chances at keeping it from happening. IF USC blows out ND, they could plummet. Oregon still has two tough games in Oregon St & UCLA. If they lose either of those games, they are done. Even if UF loses to Fla St., FSU could still lose the ACC CG. At that point, Bama/UGA winner could be facing LSU. A lot of ifs, but at that point, it would be almost impossible for "them" to prevent an all SEC NC game.

There is no "they" that could stop it. If "they" could, they would have last year. The voters in the polls are too unconnected and independent for there to be any mass collusion and 1/3 of the formula is computer polls which will favor the SEC teams because of their strength of schedule.
