…..since last season. I guess Texas could sneak in but that will be over once Jawja smashes them tonight.

Get rid of these stupid games and expand the playoff to 24.

The only thing more pointless than that game is when we ask the ref in the box if he would make the same call on the field... he almost always agrees with the referees.

Alabama hasn't won yet, and they don't look all that great early on in the game. But they'll likely pull it out.

Texas has no business in the conference championship game. We had them beat and somehow managed to blow it in the last few minutes. They lost to Florida, and almost lost to Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

Doesn’t matter, as long as Bama beats Auburn they are in.

If Texas beats Jawja and aTm they are in.

I agree with your point. But if you win the SECCG or big cg, basically it saves you having to play a first round game. Now for the losers.... it is an extra unnecessary game.

BUT! If you're oh state you could lose on purpose to Michigan. Avoid the BigCG and get an on campus game vs 12 team probably.

In the CFP or SEC Championship Game?
SEC. I could see a situation where Bama loses SEC title and is 10-3 and maybe gets left out of CFP. Highly doubt it though. They nearly made it last year at 9-3 with worse losses.

Either way a loss in a conference title game shouldn’t keep you out of a playoff, assuming you were considered in already. I’m not talking about like a Clemson last year who was out before they won. And then taking a spot from a more worthy team also sucks.

DeBoer ain't good enough for Bama. They should've hired Lane but their pride wouldn't let them. They have two losses, only one in the SEC. If they were to go to the SECCG and lose they are out of the playoffs. Heck, Lane may get UM to the SECCG after all. I'm not convinced Georgia will win out and I could see aTm losing to UT.

Eventually they'll end at 32 teams. There are too many programs who think it's their divine right to be in the playoffs every year.
