For the first time in 3 years, I could hear the band.

Is it too much to ask them to wear their damn uniforms?

either way but I understand why they don't wear them. It was a scorching 77 degrees at game time.

Seriously? It was overcast and didn't even hit 85 yesterday. At a 6pm game that felt like perfect fall weather, those pussies still couldn't wear their brand new uniforms that they bragged about all summer? If any of you band dorks are offended, GOOD. You 17ers need to grow a sack.

I have no idea why they weren't wearing uniforms in that type of weather. I will also be the first to say that they should have worn them. 105 degree weather- no, 77 degree weather- yes.

than I have heard them in years. I believe the horn guys (trumpets, trumbones, etc) were really great on the field and also in the stands.

The band sounded much louder. They really did a great job on the halftime performance.

As a member of the FMB, all I can say is don't blame the members ourselves. We do what we're told. It's not like we all refused to wear our full uniforms last night or something.

the band had better balance. You can sound louder if and better if your balance is good.

I also like the pit. They need to add some other percussion stuff in there in the upcoming years, though.

I used to be in the FMB to. I'm guessing that this was a predetermined decision without regards that the weather might possibly be good? I know that the website has info for ya'll, or maybe an e-mail list the day before the game could correct the problem?

if the FMB doesn't wear its uniforms for the Auburn game, I might lose my ****. Last night's shorts looked like they were headed to an intramural basketball tournament at the Sanderson post game. It's just silly. It didn't bother me as bad last night because we were playing SELA, and the gym shorts added to the bush league atmosphere. But when Auburn comes calling next week, we damned sure better look 100%.

It cost money to dry clean those britches. Whereas students' hot weather uniform is no cost to the university to wash. Maybe LT is running the band hall/

gave a **** how hot it was for bandmembers in their uniforms. And unlike the no-water football practices, I never saw any headlines about a fat-*** tuba player falling over dead from heat exaustion while wearing a uniform.

They ought to wear the damn uniforms. And if they need a little more water, that's fine. Hell, some of those folks could afford to sweat off 10 or 125 lbs.

I think everyone would like to see the uniforms on. When did I miss out on the slang reference for the band? FMB? Really? I thought the dance was ok. I wasn't even paying attention and then everyone started laughing so I looked. I really could give a **** about the band to be honest with you.

I did however enjoy making fun of the "flagets" when they where around.</p>
