So (obviously) 4 true corners went in the 1st round. Kiper's best available CBs left lists Banks as 4th. It is baffling to me that the Thorpe award winner is no better than the 8th best CB in the nation. And Slay is down even further. The fastest 40 time at the combine for him didn't mean much.

The Saints new 3-4 scheme under Rob Ryan will not provide much better result than last years swiss cheese defense. Will Smith on one end is worn out and near the end of his career, and I would say Cameron Jordan is a bust...former 1st rounder that hasn't shown ****...on the other side. I forget who the no-name nose tackle they picked up...won't make a difference. And I see nothing on the Saints defensive roster that leads me to believe there is 4 decent LBs. Even if Vaccaro is a great safety in this league, this unit is trash and Brees will have to put up 40+ in nearly every game.

No 2nd round pick tonight (thanks Der Kommisar Goodell) unless they trade up. I wish they could trade Mark Ingram for some picks, but he has no value. A huge bust they traded up for 2 yrs ago.

I thought Jordan had a pretty strong year for a 2nd year player. He had 8 sacks.

I too thought Jordan was pretty solid. 8 sacks with limited PT.

I don't think it would be a stretch to see Slay to the Saints in later rounds.

Side note: I am pissed about Ryan being hired. Spags is a better DC in my opinion. Took the fall for Loomis's roster 17 ups.
