The latest issue of MSM featured a column by myself where I, in a humorous bent, made fun of the cowbell situation. Apparently that's drawn the ire of Gene, who banned everyone involved with the magazine from his board, including the publisher.

That'll show us, it seems.

That is nuts for him to take that approach and he doesn't even realize that strategy is killing his page. No room for humor, no one can take a joke or laugh even at themselves, sad.

Actually, I may be banned from Gene's Page too. Not sure. I never got an e-mail saying I was banned but after not going there for at least a year I got on there and tried to post several months ago and got a message saying that I needed to be confirmed by the moderator (whatever that means). </p>

told me to change my sig or I would be banned for the 3rd time. It's the same one you see below sans the strikethrough.

My inflammatory username (the same one you see to the left) got me the axe many years ago.

That's like telling somebody they can't go to West Memphis, AR for vacation. It's not like it was ever really considered in the first place.

Funny article though.

It still chaps my *** that everyone, in humor or not, who takes on cowbells fails to understand that when the rule was made noise in stadiums, artificial and otherwise, was loathed by the conference. Referees could stop a game and issue a penalty and often did even with no cowbells involved. The SEC has grown up since then, but the cowbell rule has not.

and you can gamble for cheap. And you're right about the Fat Tire. I used to make a trip there once a month for that very purpose. I love that Walgreen's.

Seasonal beers and other varieties are only sold west of the MS. Blue Paddle, Skinny Dip, Mighty Arrow, etc... are not available in TN. They also have the Breckenridge Brewery beers..

Bought some at an Exxon on the corner of Summer/Graham last week. I think I saw it at Whole Foods as well...

picked up a 2 variety cases in Sikeston on my way over to Van Burenfor the 4th. Had Fat Tire, 1554, MotherShip (which I had never heard of), and one or two other things in it.

Wanted to swing by the place in Fort Collins a few weekends back, but I didn't make it.
