I wonder if announcers go back and listen to themselves. I mean literally every foul call on Rutgers “good call ref” every call on Purdue “wow Rutgers caught a break there” every blatant push by RU “refs missed one there” every push on Purdue “Rutgers is complaining yes but you have to play through it”
Totally ridiculous as I’ve ever heard it and we’ve had a lot of bad announcers.
Right up there with Matt Millen

So? I've never understood complaining about announcers.

They have zero effect on the game. Who cares? I normally don't even listen to the announcers.
Bardo kept saying Edey didn't foul Paul.
Refs still called a T.

Announcers have zero effect on the game, but can have a big effect on fan enjoyment of a game.

I really think the perception problem is this team's lack of offense. If we had the shooters to back it up, our aggressive D would be looked upon more favorably rather than folks thinking this team just wins by making it a rock fight every night.

Hopefully that changes next season and beyond.

Perhaps.
If Bardo was 100% homer for this game - its not improving my enjoyment.

Which is why I'd want the option to just click a "selective mute" button and just hear the sound from the court. Just put their microphones on a separate feed that you can turn off as an option.

Listen closely, he's very passive aggressive. Never misses an opportunity to say something critical.

Usually good but today was odd. He was very pro Purdue for some reason. Even my wife said so and she never complains about the refs or announcers. At one time she told screamed shut up to him lol!!

Thanks for making everyone's point.

And you edited out my point that you clearly missed.

It's very amusing how people get so upset and outraged over something that literally has zero impact on the game.
Bardo could have sat there for 2 hours saying "Rutgers is great and going to win this game" or "Rutgers sucks and going to lose" over and over. He could have said "Edey commited 45 fouls this game and should have been kicked out in the 1st half". Zero impact.
Doesn't change the final score.

We agree on a lot of stuff (believe it or not), but totally disagree here. I'd take 24 straight hours of Beth Mowins over the *** clownery of Bardo today, particularly, his saying close to 10X that there was nothing there on the Edey technical. I rarely scream at broadcasters, but I yelled STFU multiple times today at the TV. 🤷‍♂️

I edited it out because nobody is saying that. They're discussing his skills, comments, and apparently one sided approach to this particular game and how he saw nothing Edy was doing was wrong yet the refs disagreed. As you pointed out with that comment.. hence the highlight of it.

Of course he doesn't effect the actual game but not the subject of the displeasure.

During halftime of MSU game did nothing but praise Purdue. How great their defense was. Not one word about RU.

The one that bothered me the most is Edey push Woolfolk in the.back and got an easy bucket couple minutes after Cliff picked up 3 and 4, down 1 or 3 points, and Bardo tell Woolf to play through it, HOW? He is completely out of position from the push in the back, clear offensive foul. How does he play through it?

Huh??? Do you think he should be a complete RU homer? He was praising RU for much of the second half
He swallowed so much today, I'm collecting mouthwash so he can rinse the bad taste out.

Clearly went out of his way to not call out the refs uneven calls. And his commentary on what eventually was a technical foul on Edy was disgusting with his repeated claims that Edy didn't do anything wrong...lol.

Sports is entertainment and not everyone is the same. While you may not like or listen to announcers, for many others they are a part of the entire sports/entertainment experience. It has nothing to do with the final score....rather it is about enhancing or ruining the viewing experience of the game.
