You're wrong, most on here understood that when Towles was QB. The drops, the penalties, and the lack of pass protection doesn't allow a QB to be very consistent. Drew was being chased so often sometimes that even he had ansty feet and he's usually very calm in the pocket. And concerning Schlarman, we do need to remember that Swindle and West were not his recruits and we know young linemen get eat up in SEC play. And if they all come, we do have some help coming for the oline.

I guess you're a Shlarman fan and he just needs better players. I'm not. And I disagree that Barker is the same as Towles. Barker has more upside. Towles never makes critical plays when pressure is added. I see more potential from Barker to make plays and you can see he is not nearly as nervous as Towles. That is the primary reason he will be a better QB even though Towles has a stronger arm.

You need to realize that listing facts don't make you a fan of anyone. You don't have to be the Bear to see some of our problems. Myself, I like to see how coaches do when they get their own players that were recruited for certain offenses and defenses. Lots has to change before we see any of our QBs have any great success. We have to hope that we can keep the guys that we have coming in and still be able to do better in the future with recruiting.
