Arrogance, maybe this is Cal? Winning not a top priority. Kentucky tradition of winning, on down the line a little. Not bothered at all. Everything going to stay the same. No changes. Just recruit and get my boys for our little 'go pro club.' Fans are bennies, don't matter anyway. Been doing this 30 years, who are you to tell me what to do? Oh, and by the way, I am hall of fame coach. Who could you possibly get to replace me? All those fans, just need to stay shut, Kentucky hillbillies trying to tell me, me mind you, how to coach. What a laugh. Idiots watching film of games more than the coaches. Wow, what a life they have. Anyway, Kentucky, their tradition, their fans, their alumni, their history and passion. So what? I am here to make young kids rich for their families. To change their lives for themselves and their families. Has to be my top priority. I mean, there are times that I have to play some kids more than another because it is about getting the struggling guy to the next level. May cost us games. But hey, this is a kids future. Just tell those fans to just enjoy these 5 star athletes while you can. Quit worrying about the wins and tournaments. Just enjoy this while you can. I know I am, and that is what really matters.
I would say it is a shame that each year there are more and more fans that have disdain for Cal. When he does leave it will be a shame leaving with the majority of fans hating him after all the good he did those first few years. But that won't be the case. The fans are on down the way in significance. He will walk away with a smile on his face thinking of all those kids he helped for the rest of their lives. And forget all about the opportunity he had to come here and the way he was embraced by so many people across this state. Without us, probably couldn't have done half of the things he has got to do here. Who would have thought it would turn out him satisfying his wants over the good for this state and these fans?
