I watched the CSN replay of West Aurora and Maine South last nite- what a great ballgame. Both offenses looked unstoppable.

I think it may come down to the Defenses... which Defense has the better game - MS or Barrington....

I always think the team that lost the first game has the advantage in the rematch, that being said I was impressed with how Barrington played in the second half against Leyden and think they will win.

Maine South does not have the ability to stop the Barrington power running game. They had much difficulty with the Aurora West running game and will again fail to stop Barrington's running. The Mid-Suburban West had the best top three 8A teams in the state : 1. Palatine 2. Barrington 3. Fremd.

I wouldn't speak to the WA running game if I were you my friend. It's better than what we saw from Barrington the first time.. Passing... not so much.

I was at the WA MS game and the WA running game was like no other. Reminded me of the HF twins. Never seen Barrington play but I'm sure their runners don't match up to WA. Now that's not to say they can't run the ball. I don't know.

It is true that Barrington does not have backs like the Cross twins. But they do have better linemen that might even it out.

Barrington's OL is bigger and better than any in the state. They ran all over MS in their third regular season game and they will do it again.
