Who is staying and who is leaving?

Renfroe - Gone
Frazier - Gone
E. Mitchell - Probably Gone
Daryl Norris - what's the word here?
Nick Flair - any chance he stays?
Kyle Hann - recent tweet indicates he plans to come back

Anyone else we should be worried about?

E. Mitchell and Norris are gone. I think Cohen did everything he could to keep the Canadians and I think it might have worked... But if they're willing to leave because as freshmen they couldn't beat out veteran guys who won us 51 games I don't want their attitudes on the roster anyway.

Frost, Porter, Pollo, and Graveman are gone.

How are the new guys coming in? I would imagine some will be asked to step into the lineup immediately.

I have no clue why Fullerton would come back, unless he just really likes going to MSU.

Britton will probably have a chance to compete this fall, but he may have a sour taste in his mouth after playing much if his freshman year.

Let's see how persuasive playing in the CWS finals is in shaping their decision to stay or go. That is about the best argument Cohen could make. How mad would it make you to leave a team because your *** got a little sandy over playing time and then end up sitting in your apartment this time next year drinking a natty light and watching your old team right back in Omaha again?

Norris is leaving from all accounts but I don't think that's official yet.

Flair supposedly going the JUCO route......I think that's a mistake.......He could be the DH next year.........

I'm hearing Norris will be back but not on the team. He has the most scholarship of any player on the roster. If he wants to play it will be as a walkon. His mom really wants him to get a degree.

Flair, Fullerton are gone.

Mitchell will sign.

Sister is close with a lot of the guys on the team including Norris. You are correct about him staying bc he wants to finish school and get his degree but I was under the impression he was going to continue playing ball. This is the first I've heard of him staying at state but not playing baseball.

Canadians aren't going anywhere.

He didn't say Norris wouldn't be on the team.

He just said if he did choose to play on the team, it would be as a walk on.

Am I missing something here? He said "I'm hearing Norris will be back but not on the team" Then went on to say if he decides to play it will be as a walk on. Personally, I would like to see him back playing ball for us next year and convert him to a pitcher only. He has a live arm and I think Coach Thompson could do some things with his arm angle and he could have the potential to become a solid SEC pitcher.

Daryl told me yesterday that he was going to concentrate on pitching next year because he was just being average at hitting and pitching.

That is great to hear. Hopefully he can be a right handed Girodo next year. Sometimes it only takes one summer to transform...see Stratton and Girodo

Will needs to get a little more giddyup on that fastball. If he does that and

can continue to improve from the 3/4 arm slot I think he's going to be very good next year.

The Canadians, especially Robson, seemed to have a lot of fun this year.

I was at the after party around a lot of them, and there were some wide eyes from a lot of them at just the whole experience. If that didn't convince them to stay, there was no hope.

I hate Daryl didn't get to pitch more or something. We used him to fill a hole last year, but he wasn't really a true 3B and Detz was a little better than him this year. He probably does have a lot of talent, and I don't blame him for his choice. Wish the best for him.

I think Britton stays. I'd hate to lose Flair; I think he has a good shot next year.

I think Flair would be the starter at DH next year....Would love to keep his

stick and assuming Wes leaves next year, the spot would be Nic's.........

Attrition a fact of big time baseball.

Polk hated it. But it's real and the more successful we become the more we will have.

Some leave of their on own accord. Some just see the writing on the wall. Some are encouraged.

It's called "processing" in Bama football.
