That would be winnable bracket for us. Could set up for a Super in Starkville.

I'd give good odds we'd make it out of that, but it'd be low scoring. Oregon has one guy that scares you in their lineup in Healy, but he's no Renfroe.
Their pitching and ours should be about even: 2 quality starters, a superb middle reliever, and several quality 1-inning type guys on both rosters. Their 3rd starter is better than ours right now, though, so the winners bracket game becomes that much more important.

That would be a very tough bracket. I think right now, we'd probably be a #2 seed, but probably not at a national seed.

Something I notice...

...The last 14 of 16 games MSU have played have been against [projected] regional opponents. While that doesn't excuse our pitchers walking everybody in sight over the last 16 games, he does shed light what a ***** of a schedule we've played since March 8th.

I think we could win this regional. But I'd rather host a regional and if Ole Miss can host (with their résumé so far), we can surely host if we start playing good baseball.

Eh.... I think I'll wait for Baseball America and Perfect Game's projections. Those are usually more accurate.

For instance, he has Louisville as 2 seed even though they are a consensus Top 10 team and just swept Notre Dame, who he has as a host.

Also has Kentucky as a 3 seed, which I think is laughable. They have been Top 15 all season.

We could very easily finish anywhere from 1st to 3rd in that regional. Cal Poly is good. We CAN host if we start playing to our potential. But if the bids went out right now, I don't think there's any question that we wouldn't host. UM would be 50-50.
