I don't think it's too much to expect them to go to a regional. Quite simply, it's easier than ever to make a regional than before. You don't even have to make the SEC Tournament to make one. What it amounts to is fininshing in 9th place- or the bottom half of the SEC. I don't see any reason why the SEC won't get at least nine in this year with three top 10 caliber teams.
And with this team, I really don't care if they make the SEC Tournament or not. Now, before I get blasted, let me issue a disclaimer- this is the ONLY year I will say that. Starting next year, we should make it pretty much expect to make it every year. I'm only saying that because of the fact that this team was so horrendous last year.
Now, at the same time, I think this team can make it to the SEC Tournament, and would be very pleased if they did, and I really wouldn't be surprised if they did. I really think that this team is going to improve as the year goes on. They've been battle tested now, and now that they've had some success like beating South Carolina, and some bumps like Georgia, it's going to start to pay off.
And once again, I stand by my 30 win prediction- which is about the pace we are on right now at midseason.
