How are we feeling about Eric Becker (UVA SS) and Carson Tinney (Notre Dame C)?

Are we expecting Henry Ford (UVA OF) to go pro?

I have absolutely no inside info, but I feel like Becker follows the coaching staff here. I think Ford will commit to Tennessee, but he'll be drafted and sign.

Absolutely no idea about Tinney or the Seton Hall catcher that's been mentioned. Either would be much needed gets.

i’ve seen it mentioned somewhere (twitter or another message board) that Florida thinks they get Tinney. Ford feels like Tenn.

Becker is who we need to get and then a better than average catcher, whoever that may be. Of course we need all of the good P’s we can get. It will be disappointing if we miss on Becker.

Any word on Dotson? Thought he was high on a lot of lists hoping he might return from the portal.

Becker visited Texas this past week. Hopefully just guaging the market to figure out how much to charge us.

People felt good about him early on and still feel pretty good, not as good, but pretty good. Not me though, I’ve watched this play out too many times and I’m a pessimist by nature anyway.

Are you just going to come here & suggest we're losing everyone?

No sense in posting that.

Ford feels like pro ball more than a college

Isn't Chone James a catcher? Are we projecting him as the starter or still hoping for a better one?

I saw this kid pitch a couple of times this year. He will provide depth and could be a reliable bullpen arm, but it's real different pitching on a Friday night against 17ing Western Carolina in Cullowhee than it is against Arkansas at Baum.

Kid has a young Brent Rooker look.
That's the first thing I thought. His swing is similar. Rooker has that swing that's just so powerful and straight to the contact point, it's hard to forget how great it was. The two swings I remember most from the last decade were Rooker and and Tanner Allen. Very different swings but both memorable.

As I recall, one of my favorite Dawgs of all time was a Damn Yankee (he stayed here) named Bruce. Good stick. Good bat. A player!! Got his uniform dirty every game. We need to beat the bushes all over this land to find players.
How’s his keyboard game? I hear ex-baseball players can’t keep up with ex-golfers.

But who can? **

(I’m OCD enough to be a natural keyboard warrior but also know less is more… so while I’m a frequent poster, I also want to be concise.)
