Seems about right. Hopefully he can improve his mechanics at the plate, because this guy seems to really think he struggled against offspeed stuff.

I think his issue with his basespeed is more about getting out of his stance/box.

One thing I've heard (and it was noted in the report) is that he's tracking off speed and spin out of the hand better, which I'm sure was a big thing in the development plan for him. I think the adjustment will come, but I still see him as a .265-.270 guy with 25-30 HRs and 15-20 SBs. He's got the profile to be a big time 4-hole run producer. The defense/arm is gravy.

Agree on the speed issue, and he's put on a couple pounds of muscle as well which may have slowed him down a little. He definitely looks bigger than when he was at State. What's going to help him on the basepaths and with his stolen bases is that he's a smart baserunner. Not a burner by any means, but we already knew that.
