Baseball Question: What happen to Michael Busby?

I' live in V'burg and my son participated in Busby led youth baseball camp a few summers ago. I know that left to go to Hinds CC and now is playing at UAB. I'm wondering why he left MSU.

He's playing first base at Hinds now. He had to have another arm surgery last year, and Cohen didn't want to keep him on the roster with his injury. He is supposed to pitch for Hinds too, but he hasn't been cleared to pitch yet.

but that seems odd since we're keeping Paxton Pace on the roster and didn't pull Tim Statz's scholarship offer. Not to mention Justin Bussey is also hurt and on the roster, as well as Micheal Dixon. Also, if Forrest Moore wanted to come back out for the team, I know that Cohen would let him do so.

I don't know what the MD said about Busby's injury though- maybe something along the lines of "you'll never pitch again". I don't know. I hate to call a player that was hurt out, but that does sound a little cop out-ish to me.

Reagrdless, I wish him well at UAB, though.

No offense taken. I'm just telling you the what I hear around campus and from players themselves. I was actually pretty shocked that Pace was being kept around. And I don't know the situation with Statz but I would think that Busby having his second major arm surgery in three years would have a little bit to do with Cohen being skeptical. And didn't Bussey and Dixon get hurt in the fall when they were already here for the school year? And Im pretty sure that Forrest got kicked off the team last year. Don't really see Cohen taking him back.

The main difference between Busby and Statz, Bussey, and Dixon is that the other 3 guys were guys that Cohen recruited. Busby was a Polk guy.

Also, I'm pretty good friends with Busby's girlfriend and talk to her about Michael everynow and then. Let's just say that she is not the biggest fan of Cohen because he's the reason that she doesn't get to go to school with her boyfriend anymore.

I say all this to say that I'm pretty sure that Busby was told that it would be in his best interest to try and find another place to play. I've been wrong before though.
