Info that was emailed to me yesterday.
Here's the affiliate list: http://www.hailstate.com//ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=16800&ATCLID=926133&SPID=10993&SPSID=90863

Here's the schedule of the 40 network games:

I also think there's some confusion that if a station is listed, it will be available under that station on TuneIn and that's not the case. The only way to listen online is a subscription to HailStateTV.

Here are the packages. It's $29.95 for a year of audio. It's $39.95 for four months of video. It's $99.95 for a year of video.

I know this. MSU baseball (especially when we have a good team) has a very large following on the radio. If stations aren`t selling the avilable advertising spots it`s because they don`t understand how big the audience is and aren`t getting it across to advertisers. I`ve owned some businesses in the past that benefitted from local advertising and can attest first hand that sponsoring MSU baseball on the radio is money well spent. Don`t know if this is the "discussion" you were looking for but I know what I`m talking about on this subject.

I can attest that neither the Hattiesburg nor Meridian stations were carrying the Saturday game against Portland. Was driving back from south Mississippi, expecting to have some nice entertainment for the first half of the drive. Whoops.

I tweeted to Scott Stricklin about WMXI here in the Hattiesburg area not broadcasting the Purdue game Friday night. Told him that whatever they are paying them, stop. They are terrible when it comes to broadcasting our games. They always play football, but rarely broadcasat mid-week basketball games and most evening baseball games including SEC games.

This is true. I tried listening to the games there and they were not on. Had to use tunein radio app and used the Jackson station to listen.

I've been having luck by listening to WNMQ on the iHeartRadio iphone app for these non-network games. They carried all the games this weekend except for the Friday night game.

From the caveat at the bottom of the affiliate list:

• All stations above will carry MSU's 2013 baseball games on the MSU Baseball Radio Network schedule (exceptions listed below). For non-network games, only WKBB-FM in West Point, Miss., will broadcast. In some cases, non-network games will be carried by WNMQ-FM in Columbus, Miss. Please click here for a schedule of network and non-network games.

Need to ensure broadcasts on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and throughout the state, even if we have to pay to get it done. Going all Internet now is too dang much thinking ahead.

I am 70 years old and very hard to envision paying for radio broadcast. But it has been the same for many years in that MSU sports has never had great radio affiliate marketing in any sports including football in it's own state. It is time for this to be, "It Is Our State."

Not sure who does it now, but most don't know that was Jim Ellis's job

while he was still employed by the university. He's retired now (except for calling games of course) so I'm not sure who is in charge of the baseball radio network anymore.

Props to Mr. Ellis, that's why the radio network was so strong for years and years.

I pay for radio, but I'm not going to be streaming internet while I'm driving. I realize the athletic department has to work within a budget, but we're really hurting our brand with those awful jumbotron ads and killiing our basic radio market to try and build up hailstate. Making a dollar can costs you two sometimes. And I don't know the facts, but my guess is the money it would take to broaden our radio presence is not huge. I also doubt that we're getting rich off of those mega-volume Davis-Wade jumbotron ads.
