2027 Baseball Schedule - Mississippi State
The official 2027 Baseball schedule for the Mississippi State Bulldogs
Fascinated to see how Georgia hits at home now that they have taken away batter communication@ Georgia sucks.
Playing a game in Hattiesburg is not my favorite either. We should stop subsidizing them. They're completely classless about this stuff.
I'd prefer a tougher non-con, but I guess we can stack wins.
Probably just fine. They hired the old Astro’s equipment manager.Fascinated to see how Georgia hits at home now that they have taken away batter communication
YupIs the aTm series likely to be Super Bulldog Weekend?
I understand our conference schedule is guaranteed to be tough by virtue of being in the SEC, and we do have a home and home with USM, the arlington games, the governors cup, and an away game at Memphis I guess to help with RPI. But Stony Brook, Saint Joseph's, and North Alabama seem like a pretty bad OOC home series schedule. Stony brook finished 175 last year in RPI? St. Joseph's was 166? And North Alabama's was 199? Are there really not northern teams that would have been happy to travel for non-freezing weather that would be close to top 100?What a complete crock ofshit.
N AL for a 3 game series? Then 4-5 more turd burglars in the mix?
We’ll go into league play (again) with an RPI in the 30’s. WT17 makes these schedules??
Agreed. They are the only ones in the non con that get a one and one from us every year. If they want to play us, the location options should be STK, Biloxi, or Pearl.@ Georgia sucks.

Boy that one midweek baseball game is going to make all the difference for them financially. **Playing a game in Hattiesburg is not my favorite either. We should stop subsidizing them. They're completely classless about this stuff.
That's quite a big qualifier.I understand our conference schedule is guaranteed to be tough by virtue of being in the SEC, and we do have a home and home with USM, the arlington games, the governors cup, and an away game at Memphis I guess to help with RPI. But ......
I don't care if they make an extra $5 off of it. It's $5 more than they should get from us. Their football and basketball programs are dead, let baseball die too. I've had to listen to their fans crow (about nothing) for 40 years. I'm over it.Boy that one midweek baseball game is going to make all the difference for them financially. **
What the hell are USM fans crowing about the last 15-25 years? Nothing. They're insignificant. But one road game there per year is a good RPI game with very minimal travel for us, so that's a big win for us.I don't care if they make an extra $5 off of it. It's $5 more than they should get from us. Their football and basketball programs are dead, let baseball die too. I've had to listen to their fans crow (about nothing) for 40 years. I'm over it.
That's a stupid mindset in 2026. Basketball and baseball, you win some you lose some, nobody cares the following day. There is no status gained one way or another over a game.I don't care if they make an extra $5 off of it. It's $5 more than they should get from us. Their football and basketball programs are dead, let baseball die too. I've had to listen to their fans crow (about nothing) for 40 years. I'm over it.
I also like the crappy early games, particularly given how many newcomers we have. It's that 3rd series' worth of ~200 RPI games that is a head-scratcher for me.Just win the games and the RPI won't matter. And this team is good enough to do it. I kind of like having the crappy teams in there to get some players some experience. That helps us truly figure out the lineup and staff early.
FYI, these numbers aren't accurate. Last year, 2026: Saint Joseph was RPI 68, UNA was 161 & Stony Brook was 177.Stony brook finished 175 last year in RPI? St. Joseph's was 166? And North Alabama's was 199?
@ Georgia sucks.

Well, that's better. Criticism walked back.FYI, these numbers aren't accurate. Last year, 2026: Saint Joseph was RPI 68, UNA was 161 & Stony Brook was 177.
Also last year had we scheduled even just a little smarter we would’ve hosted a super instead of traveling to Athens.Last year we had a worse conference schedule and finished with an RPI of 10 and an overall SOS of 8!
Maybe because they didn't want to have fans complain so much about teams like Stony Brook, N AL, and Saint Josephs? West FL won the Gulf South Conference, went 43-16 and were Top 10 in 3 different D2 polls. And do we have a connection with West Florida? Why are we playing them in Biloxi and at home in their first year in DI?
We didn’t get a national seed because we lost 6 of our 10 SEC series (including getting swept twice at home). It had nothing to do with our non-conference schedule or performance. Also last year had we scheduled even just a little smarter we would’ve hosted a super instead of traveling to Athens.
True, you just can't have more than 2-3 losses against these low RPI teams. Win 99% of them and league play takes care of SOS.Our nonconference schedule almost doesn’t matter with how loaded the league schedule is. That Arlington tourney will help too, and also we play some good midweek games.
What are the odds of a pop up, isolated monsoon right over DNF on May 11?And do we have a connection with West Florida? Why are we playing them in Biloxi and at home in their first year in DI?
I disagree with you. After they beat Northern Miss last season, they thought they had arrived simply by beating the two in-state SEC schools. Then we had to hear about their program “would have 10 CWS championships if we were getting all that SEC welfare money.” They have as many CWS appearances and CWS wins as Stony Brook, and we have a weekend home series with them. That's a stupid mindset in 2026. Basketball and baseball, you win some you lose some, nobody cares the following day. There is no status gained one way or another over a game.
Football is the only sport where you may have a point, but in this day and age of separation, even that is kinda silly. I mean we've beaten the hell out of them lately with some not-so-great teams.
Bulldog(IQof)77 is probably in a padded room right now repeating the phrase, “but we were 4-0 in September. We were 4-0”I'm curious to find out what bulldog77 thinks about this and our baseball program overall***
lol - guess you don't know any. They've never stopped. It's never mattered to them whether they had something to crow about or not. What the hell are USM fans crowing about the last 15-25 years? Nothing. They're insignificant.
But one road game there per year is a good RPI game with very minimal travel for us, so that's a big win for us.
I'll always take that as a compliment coming from anyone as mindless and ignorant as you. Thank you. That's stupid
I may just be ignorant of how good DII is, but is top ten in D2 likely to translate into a good RPI in D1?Maybe because they didn't want to have fans complain so much about teams like Stony Brook, N AL, and Saint Josephs? West FL won the Gulf South Conference, went 43-16 and were Top 10 in 3 different D2 polls.
We should not play them at Pete Trailer Park for a home and home series. They are not on our level, therefore they do not deserve a one for one home and home series. If they want a 3 for 1, I’m okay with it. If they ever win a game in Omaha, which I seriously doubt, we can reevaluate. This is one case where we overwhelmingly hold the cards and we should play it out.lol - guess you don't know any. They've never stopped. It's never mattered to them whether they had something to crow about or not.
That's a fair point, and that's great. I still don't like playing them at their place. I have the right to have an opinion. It's not right or wrong, it's an opinion. Yours is different. Great. Hopefully this year, we'll actually win the game, and it does actually help our RPI. Going there and losing doesn't do a whole lot for us.
