Can’t understand why we play Usm any place except in Starkville for any sport.
Awesome...a home loss.We play them in Starkville in baseball in less than two weeks.

We better effing run rule themWe play them in Starkville in baseball in less than two weeks.
It seems to me a large quantity of other teams use the same Learfield/Sidearm Sports web company and their UI is garbage too.Speaking of, hailstate.com is absolutely awful for looking at a sports schedule. I use espn.com for football and basketball and d1baseball for baseball:

Easier on the eyes and easy to look at any other team's schedule.
ETA: I would like to have a word with d1baseball about conventions / consistency:

Same reason we're playing at Memphis and at UAB later this year. It's a good game vs a decent regional program. You'd rather more home games vs freaking Manhattan? Can’t understand why we play Usm any place except in Starkville for any sport.
I didn't care for the scrimmage game against Manhattan. I guess you like playing USM in football at Hattiesburg also. Hate playing any on state schools except Ole Dixie.Same reason we're playing at Memphis and at UAB later this year. It's a good game vs a decent regional program. Get over it. It's no different than playing South Alabama or Louisiana Tech. The 1980s were a long time ago. It just doesn't matter now. They're never going to beat us for any recruits or fans, and it's not like a couple thousand fans at a mid-week baseball game in February (or even 30,000 fans at a football game) are going to make a dent in "propping up their athletic program."I didn't care for the scrimmage game against Manhattan. Dang patdog, I thought we were friends. LOLGet over it. It's no different than playing South Alabama or Louisiana Tech. The 1980s were a long time ago. It just doesn't matter now. You have to play road games against good teams. Too many home games makes road adjustments hard. Can’t understand why we play Usm any place except in Starkville for any sport.
This is a side topic, but anyway:You have to play road games against good teams. Too many home games makes road adjustments hard.
Road wins are worth more, road losses hurt you less. Opposite at home. It’s something like 1.3-.7This is a side topic, but anyway:
What makes the in game baseball adjustments different on the road than at home?
I was hoping @Bulldog Bruce would chime in with what type of in game adjustments are made differently on the compared to at home. Is it just figuring out who is too uncomfortable to perform away from familiar territory or are there other factors.Road wins are worth more, road losses hurt you less. Opposite at home. (This may be outdated, I’m not positive)
Mostly background is different. The crowd can sometimes be something to deal with. I always think about Hawaii in the early 80s. They were always rated very high in the polls. When we went in 1979, they were 1 and we were 4. They played like 60 home games and only PAC 10 away games. They would have problems when they came to the main land. Most of it was because their umps cheated. The strike zone became the size of a dinner plate of they were behind late in the game.I was hoping @Bulldog Bruce would chime in with what type of in game adjustments are made differently on the compared to at home.
