LSU can finish the season with a 17-11 record for a .607 percentage with a sweep of Auburn. If we split the last two games with Alabama, MSU would be 18-12 with a .600 percentage.

If that were to happen, we need Vandy to win these next 2 against USC. USC beat Ole Miss 2/3, so they would sin the tiebreaker.

So in reality, a tie game is treated the same as a canceled game.

We clinch an SEC bye with the combinations below

1. MSU 2 more wins over Alabama
2. MSU one more win over Alabama + Vanderbilt win over South Carolina
3. MSU one more win over Alabama + Auburn win over LSU.

LSU's tie counts as a half win. If we win one more and LSU wins two, they will have a .603 win percentage vs our .600

We win the West and the #2 seed if:
1. MSU 2 more wins over Alabama + Texas A&M win two wins over Ole Miss

With the win last night, the lowest we can be seeded in Hoover is 5th. We win all tiebreakers involving South Carolina and/or Vanderbilt.

If we only win one more this weekend, the only way we can miss a bye/top four seed is if South Carolina sweeps Vandy AND LSU sweeps Auburn.

I think SC has the tie breaker over us, by virtue of their taking the series over OM. So if we only win one more this weekend, and LSU sweeps, and SC and Vandy split their last two, LSU would jump us and SC would have same record as us but would win the tie breaker, thus jumping us. We would be the 5 seed. So, I think we clinch a bye if:

1. MSU wins two more over Bama
2. MSU wins one more over Bama + LSU losing at least one vs Auburn
3. MSU wins one more over Bama + Vandy taking last two from SC
