Huskers get one finally. 4-1 with a runner on 2nd.
I can't keep up I guess. Apparently runners on 2nd and 3rd

72° down there today 74° here. Wonder what the odds of that happening on College opening day is.

Got down too much too early. Listened to the game on TuneIn. Double header, huh? Well, let's take tonight's Game 2!

Nice comeback but, just not enough. Baseball is a cruel game. You can win or tie 8 innings out of 9 and still lose the game.

No hitting. I would not have bunted the runner to third. He was already in scoring territory. Just me.

He was great last year in a 9th inning closer role. Not sure why we had him pitch 3 innings this time.
The only reason I think is they are testing to see if he can be a legitimate starter. That's what the radio guys mentioned.

Kind of surprised we didn't see Eddins in game 2. Throw Eddins for an inning and Luensmann for two (of vice versa), and both are still available the rest of the weekend.

McSteen looked solid.

Interesting battle for right field spot. Klenke with a nice catch in game 1, Mojo with a 2-3 day at the plate in game 2.
