Just thought I would point out something that might be a little encouraging for the remainder of the year. We have played a total of 10 games in 30 vs.teams ranked in the top 20 in the country as ranked by Boyd Nation's ISR rankings (which seem to be pretty accurate):

3 vs. Ark, 3 vs. UGA, and 4 vs. Hawaii (who has turned out to be a very good team). ALL OF THOSE GAMES ON THE ROAD. We went 2-8. Not good, but realistically 4-6 would have been about the best any reasonable person could have expected with this team (and that is probably stretching it).

We are now 3-3 against teams ranked 21-60 (losses to USC, Aub and USM). So 11 of our 14 losses are to teams in the top 60 with 9 of those losses road/neutral. With a record of 16-14 and the schedule getting a little easier, it seems we have a chance a making a decent run at .500 in the SEC. It also seems like Cohen teams at UK were apt to get on strong runs and win games in bunches.

If this is a throwaway season, so be it, but I'm not giving up on it just yet. I'll predict now that we will be 24-16 after 40 games with a 9-9 SEC record going into the mid-week 2 game series with MTSU (who is very good). Hope I am right.

but I think he's taller, and he might throw harder.

I thought Cohen had an intersting comment about that- he said wait until Routt adds 20-25 pounds to his frame and the velocity will come. That's a scary thought for the oppositon.
