In no particular order !
Richlands
Appomattox
Union
Glenvar
Giles
If Giles gets going , hard to stop !
Glenvar proved that playing tough defense and execution is a good formula !
Union and Richlands are very close and can score a lot !
Appomattox is very good ! They beat a pretty good Rustburg 3 a team and a decent 4a Amherst team !

That is last year's helmet, we have a sword going through this year with RAIDERS written on it. sabers on sides crossed like UVA. and a blue stripe. look at my profile pic.

That A will not be used anymore more after this year from your post. We will switch to this one below as per administration after the Arizona University warning 3 years ago.

This one is our OFFICIAL 'A' drawn up by a student 2 years ago. Some form of this one will be on helmets next year.

Overlook the fact that we kept Appomattox out the end zone and more less never touched the red zone until overtime. I soooo love the fact everybody only see 5 teams that can win it.

I'm totally onboard with you BC. If it weren't for seeding my choice would be Appomattox and Buckingham.

Just caught that about 5 teams and no mention of BuckTown? Buckingham is in my Top 3 to win state.

You will get your chance to either thump your chest and say we told you so.......or understand why people didn't list them in their top five in a couple of weeks. There are several very good teams and I think your one of them. We will see how good soon enough........Good luck

I posted in another thread that there were 6 top teams, and any one of them could win the 2A state.......including Buckingham, just need to look in the right threads...lol

It really doesn't matter what any of us think because things will play itself out. Nobody can dodge anybody, rounds 2 and so on will be championship caliber match ups. No matter who is playing who I just hope these young men and mother nature decide the outcome of these games and not the men in stripes. This has the potential to be the most memorable playoff experience in the history of this state. So many good teams in the West, but what we all need to do realize there are other teams in the East. You don't have to beat a team every time, just one time. Nobody is a lock to win anything, you have major injuries, violations, suspensions or anything that can occur in the next day or weeks that could send a top team straight to the bottom. It doesn't who we think can win as long as our teams think they can win. The stage is set...we'll see.

Good points BCknights. I would not be surprised if an East team won the whole thing. The West is deeper; I do not think that is in question. But the top of the East is pretty dang good. Like you said, a team only has to beat the opponent one time, not every time.

Buckingham at Richlands 11/21 mark your calendar. That's going to be a whale of a game.

I would rather not have to make that decision. So I need you to talk to your coach and tell him to play Friday night lol.

I believe that but I also know how people around Buckingham thinks. They rather them stay at school all day if they can help it.

They could leave school at noon and be here by 4. That would give them time to get off the bus and do a quick walk through or something to shake the bus ride off. That only has them missing 3 hours lol.

I would hate that for Ryan if the game is on Saturday, but I like Saturday Afternoon playoff games, I love Friday nights, but there is something about the playoff atmosphere that I love on Saturday.
I know I'm probably in the minority on this. It may have to do that when I played in Maryland, we played a couple of games on Saturday the 2 years we were in the playoffs, so maybe I am just remembering my youth all those many years ago...lol.......man i'm getting old.

More explosive on offense and much better on defense. They don't turn the ball over as much as they did last year and Gough has emerged as a true dual threat QB with 1100 rushing with 4tds and 469 passing with 6tds on only 44 attempts. The defensive front is bigger and more dangerous than last years. The standout thing is Ragland as a full time back he his playing video game style this year.

BC, I dont think yall are bigger this year at the OL. Just my opinion. One of the smallest guys on your line is the best one. I wanna say he has a FIFTY something on. He nice! great hip moving and sliding of feet. Yes Ragland and Gough is a threat. SO there were two Gough's right? One is playing and one is not right?

BTW, coming to the game tonight. Need that Friday Night Lights action! We play tomorrow sooooooo......

Good to meet ya man! I left by 4th qtr. Them Martinsville fans were vicious to this older white man that was on our side, I dont think that white man knew that Martinsville is filled with hood dudes. THEY DONT PLAY. They eventually got his attention they wont playing and he stayed in his place. LOL, funny to watch.
