Nashille is not going to want Vandy, but neither will Memphis. Nashville loses tourism revenue, and Memphis loses because Vandy doesn't travel well. They can't even sell out their home stadium in one of their best seasons.

"Dogs need 7 wins for Chick-fil-A
MSU has work to do if it wants to play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

A member of the bowl's selection committee in attendance Saturday said MSU would likely need seven wins to be considered for the Atlanta-based bowl.

After the post-game press conference, a representative with the Liberty Bowl met with Mullen."

Music City has the pick before Liberty, and will take UT over us, but would take us over Vandy. <div>

Teams left on schedules of potential bowl eligible teams and my predictions of how they do, and their final record if the predictions hold:<div>East:</div><div>Georgia (8-2)- Kentucky, Georgia Tech (2-0), (10-2)</div><div>South Carolina (8-2)- Citadel, Clempson (2-0), (10-2)</div><div>Florida (5-5)- Furmen, Florida State (1-1), (6-6)</div><div>Vanderbilt (5-5)- Tennessee, Kentucky (2-0), (7-5)</div><div>Kentucky (4-6)- Georgia, Tennessee (0-2), (4-8)</div><div>Tennessee (4-6)- Vanderbilt, Kentucky (1-1), (5-7)</div><div>
</div><div>West:</div><div>LSU (10-0)- Ole Miss, Arkansas (1-1), (11-1)</div><div>Alabama (9-1)- Georgia Southern, Auburn (2-0), (11-1)</div><div>Arkansas (9-1)- MSU, LSU (2-0), (11-1)</div><div>Auburn (6-4)- Samford, Alabama (1-1), (7-5)</div><div>MSU (5-5)- Arky, Ole Miss (1-1), (6-6)</div><div>Ole Miss- Irrelevant (Doesn't 17ing matter)</div><div>

Music City takes Vandy over us if at all possible - which I think means for us to go there, we need 2 more wins than Vandy (or Tennessee, should they get on a roll)

They take vandy over us. Music City would be almost stupid to take us over Vandy, and Liberty would be stupid to take Vandy over us. Same goes for Tennessee if they become bowl eligible, they would trump us for the Music City Bowl. I hate it, but I think that's the reality of it. The Liberty Bowl likes us because we bring fans and the Music City has the hometown connection with Vanderbilt and is MUCH closer to Knoxville, making Tennessee more attractive than us. I think it sucks for Vandy and Tennessee because they would need 8+ wins or be in the top 6 in the SEC to avoid the Music City Bowl. Same with us (and Ole Miss) and the Liberty Bowl.
