Basketball Game Friday

How do you guys think we'll do this Friday? Will our guards step up their game?

Beckham and Benock as our starters then probably not. I know we have a lot of inexperienced guys behind those 2 but if we plan on winning games this year, even these weak early season games, then we've got to get other people in the lineup besides them. I'm sure they are good guys and they are fine to spell someone else for short stints during games but they are NOT the type players that you count on to win games for you. They don't score or handle the ball well enough to be Div. 1 starters.

Bryant, Smith, Johnson, Augustus, and Bailey it shouldn't be too bad. Basically I agree with maroonmania, but I'll add the "short stints" for Benock and Beckham do not need to add up to more than 5-8 minutes at most. Even though Steele didn't score in the scrimmage, I would rather Stansbury give him a few chances to come off the bench and contribute.</p>

but I agree about Steele. He scored plenty in HS (looking at media guide Benock only averaged 12.6 ppg in HS).
