I wonder if they limited this to scholarship players or not because a ton of teams have at least one white walkon player that's a big alumni's son/relative/friend that is on the team and their main contribution is boosting the team's graduation rate.

To be accurate the study should limit to scholarship players and exclude anyone who left and was drafted by the NBA in my opinion. Some guys are flunking and decare for the NBA anyway, but at least if you're drafted I could by the "left for a better job argument". If not, too hard to track down if guys ever made it in Europe or something.

We're not talking GPA, we're talking graduation rates. I'm just saying that on most teams the walk-ons have a better shot of graduating than the scholarship guys. Bolen will probably almost certainly graduate b/c he's there to go to school, but enjoys playing basketball. On the other end somebody like Ravern or Kodi is there to play basketball and has to go to school to be able to play.

So to me the study is more valid if you limit it to only scholarship players.
