I know Ray does not have a full team to work with but this offense to me looks no different than what Stans ran. Guys still just take dumb shots from all over the place. I've seen Lewis take several shots from outside the paint. We certainly play with more effort but I'm not seeing much differnce in our scheme. I hope once some guys get healthy that this is not our offense.

Our offensive style is night and day different

Instead of slowly dragging up the court and letting the other team set its defense, we get down the court asap.
Instead of 8 feet planted firmly on the floor every possession, our whole team moves.
Instead of waiting around until there's 7 seconds left on the shot clock and throwing up a contested shot, we get a shot off within the first 7 seconds almost every possession.

your and idiot, etc.

This is the first time I have seen us play this year and I have to say it looks very similar to the street ball we're used to. We do hustle though, I'll give them that. This isn't the full team either but again...it's gonna be a long season.

Our guys are firing up tough shots because we cannot get open due to North Carolina's length and we don't have a true point guard due to massive injuries. Obviously, we had no chance in this game, but not having Steele and Borchert killed any chance of us looking decent out there. If we have any chance in conference games, Steele, Thomas or Borchert have to light it up from 3.

I thought we played really well, but when you shoot 22% on your fg's you're going to lose by 50 every time against the #9 team.

Most of these guys, including our walk-ons and Johnson, haven't ever played college basketball before. It'll come.

Apparently, you missed where I said there were playing with effort (running up the court). They may get down the court quicker but they still throw up stupid shots. Like I said, it may be due to our injuries.

UNC totally took us out of our element. They are a far superior team that was having a good offensive night. Our chances are less than zero when that happens.

We were missing our best two shooters tonight, and all of our young talent is extremely raw. We will be a much improved team in a couple of months. A 12-15 win season is still in play.

This.

What I saw tonight was not at all like what I saw in the first two games...UNC just took us completely out of our element the entire game, especially when we went down big early. This team is much more effective @ scoring points in the paint.

We will win conference games because there are other teams in our conference that are just as bad as we are, regardless of how inept we seemed tonight.
