I was looking at our 2014 prospects and noticed we are recruiting a pg named Anton beard. He's from parkview magnet hs in little rock which is the same school as ij ready. Beard has some impressive offers -- better than ij's. That got me wondering do both of them play pg or are they just both being projected as pg's?

Beard has been offered by ark, Georgetown, lsu, Marquette, Memphis, state, Missouri, and Tennessee. He's the #14 pg. If it is a package deal, I'd be happy with it.

Aside from their skill and ability, we are on them because Wes Flanigan's dad is the coach at Parkview.

Since we really have no shot with booker, I'd love to get Maurice Dunlap (commit), Anton beard, and Joniah white out of Madison central. If we get these three, ray would've done well IMO

We've got some battles coming up this Fall for playing time

Who are going to be the 2 PG's? Davis, Ready, or Bloodman
Sword will be the SG- and Applewhite can spell him until Steele is ready to come off the bench
Flat top Fred should be the SF- Roq Johnson and the 6'8 juco gonna have to fight for minutes
Borchert will likely start at PF- Roq and the juco will fight for minutes there. Plus we could go big and put Wendell there some
Ware will start backed up by Wendell

We're going to have some depth and should be able to tire some other teams next season

We're gonna win some games next year. I hope stricklin helps them out with an easy out of conference schedule. After this past season, I'd like us to get some confidence early.

I'm sure they will scale back some. I know we play FGC and they return damn near errybody- that will be a tough one. Thanks Stansbury

Hopefully we schedule Cunningham and Troy.

That's 9.8 Joniah White. As in he AVERAGED 9.8 blocks a game as a junior. I don't care where you're playing that is a ridiculous statistic. He is skinny as 17 but who cares if he's blocking shots like that. I'm sure Ray can put a little meat on his bones right? Varnado has the all-time record for blocks but how many shots did he alter? 3x his blocks? Having a tremendous shot blocker mixed in with a big body like Ware will improve MSU drastically on defense. Borchert can bang for boards a little bit too.

Whats the news on the JuCo guard from up the road? He was leading the nation in scoring for a little while if I remember correctly.

Joniah is never going to get bigger , very thin, small shoulders. he will get killed in the paint in SEC! Very weak! Dont write Dunlap in yet , word on street is we may be looking for better options

From what I hear, Dunlap I'd going to be very good. Ray has to hold onto him

Jarekious Bradley at EMCC? I gave up on him awhile ago. Doesn't seem like Ray has any interest in him. Basketball recruiting is so hush hush compared to football. There's been nothing but crickets on Bradley.

If we are thinking about the same person, he's cant transfer anywhere from what I understand. He's got 2 to play 1 or something weird like that. His college career is basically over.

Damn that sucks for him. He got kicked off Dayton before he played a single game and he loses a year for that? That's 17ed up.

I think it was Kent State. Then I think he got kicked off his juco team in Texas last year. So he's on his third team in three years. Sounds like a perfect replacement for Marshall Henderson.

Does anybody know where we stand on Jalen Lindsey from Nashville? 247 has us as one of his top five, but I'm having difficulty getting excited for a highly ranked kid who lives next to Vandy.

Correct. Masoli rule keeps him out of the SEC...

his size concerns me- only 6'1. I can see why we may be looking elsewhere. If they are a 6'1 shooter, they better be like Darryl Wilson

Shouldn't be a problem in Mississippi**********
