Although I'm sure many of you feel the same way, I'm just so tired of watching this team. It was time to shut it down.

And if the committee there takes into account suspensions and stuff we probably should have because in SEC play we were better than OM for example.

Would have been a good time to experiment some with nothing on the line. For instance like Bryant run the point and Bost play the 2 for most of the game and see what happens. Gives you an idea of what will happen if you want to try that next year. Give lewis and Smith some extended minutes with no pressure and see what they do.

Better yet - enforce some strict rules on defense. For instance if you loaf on defense you're automatically out of the game for 4 game-time minutes b/c you're obviously too tired to play offense as well. Don't block out - 2 min penalty. Give the coach any lip about it - you get to go babysit the kids the rest of the half.

Oh well - not to our always entertaining off-season

Why should the NCAA overlook stupidity? Dee didn't study and didn't pay attention when he declared for the draft. Renardo lost a year of eligiblity but knew well in advance of this season that he was sitting out 9 games. He chose to come back fat and act like a butthead.<div>
</div><div>Shorthanded or not, there was no excuse for losing a couple of those early games. Renardo didn't have to eat half of Starkville during his 18 months off and should have come in ready to play with no attitude. Pick up a win or 2 on the Hawaii/West Coast swing and don't lose to the 2 worst teams in the division and we are talking bubble of the NCAAs. It's not the NCAA's fault that the head clown in charge at MSU can't control his team.</div>

I fully believe we deserve some break for not having Bost and Sidney for most of the pre-conference schedule. But even with them, we managed to lose to LSU at home and blow a 19 point lead against Auburn. I think we probably deserved an NIT bid, but with those losses, I can't complain that we didn't get one.

If Sid or Bost had a great tourney, they would probably decide that they could get drafted based on that. This way, I feel that they will be back and maybe Sidney will mature a little over the next year.

to get an invite to anything and if we had beaten LSU and Auburn our RPI is probably high enough along with the Dee/Sidney comparison to get us in.

You always have to look at the body of work, but if there are weird circumstances like injury/suspension that affect a bubble team or seeding, they need to be considered.

For instance, BYU - those guys without their big guy are really probably deserving of a 5 seed.

on the flip side I wonder what us losing to LSU and Auburn did to St. Mary's RPI

We lost badly to three bubble teams - AL, St. Mary's and VT. I wonder, if we had been decent this year, would they have made the tournament?
