in basketball. I am starting to get excited until I hear that first "motion" being called.

it is signaled in by holding one hand up to block the other hand that is doing a swirling motion with one finger. And then everyone stands around.

Stans has that move down...

They real question is which player is going to be the one moving..
My guess is Bost or Ravern.
Stans has to have his one guy..
It would really be nice to see some team ball this year..

to start the year. i also think the bost, randy, ravern backcourt is the way to go, but stans may play phil a lot. hopefully kodi will be a 3/4, depending on the matchup and his willingness to rebound. a 4 that can shoot puts a lot of pressure on the defense.

i'm looking for a big year from bost (like warren from um), and hopefully barry finds his shot as a 2. i think osby gets better and plays more as the year progresses, but may not excel early. we need a breakthrough year from ravern.

i don't know that we'll "surprise", but the west won't be too strong, so i think we'll be near the top again, because swat is such a presence, that we'll compete in every game.

id figure those to start off the year.
and i really really hope Bailey makes his way into the lineup to replace Brian, cuz he has a lot more potential and ability.

Osby and Augustus also coming in to help down low...ive read that both still arent that great at D.

Beckham replacing Bost at PG will be interesting since both are freshman. luckily they both had post grad years to get some more experience.</p>

Brian is a big body, but from what I have seen he is slow on defense.

I would like to see Bailey start and Osby getting some big playing time.
Bost and Osby are our best recruits in years.

this year. He looked really good last Sat. and you could definitely tell he has lost weight and will be more agile this year. He also brings that toughness we will need down low, if he doesn't foul out in 2 mins...

because bailey will need to play the 5 when varnado is out. johnson may can steal a few minutes there, but he's pretty much a 4.

i really hope beckham doesn't get redshirted, because that would mean stewart/turner are the backup point guards, and we saw how well that worked last year... i haven't heard anything about beckham redshirting, but you know how stans is with freshmens.

we NEED to pick up gallon next year. it would be nice to have gallon and latavious williams both coming in with smith.

is play those guys early. Even if it's ugly at first. Seems like every year we have one or two young guys that seem to be coming into their own at the end of the year and I always think if they had played early (and often) they would really be helping down the stretch.
