Huggins spent years building that team, and right when you think its all gonna finally come together for a magical year... Players transfer, Players quit then transfer, players leave early to get drafted...

The "Team" we had from just before the season opener last year is long gone, and so its its upside. Tragic really, we all patiently waited on that team to develop, and now they are all gone..

Culver hurts some, but if Cotrill is even close to the hype of the coaching staff, then he will replace Derek's production. No real loss from Macke and Moore. Oscar was a liability and an addition by subtraction situation. Taz will be back which helps. If McNeil doesn't return, that will hurt more than Culver. He had plenty of off games, but he was also the only one keeping us in a few clutch games. Culver on the other hand never seemed to have big games in the clutch against decent teams (see the Syracuse game in the tournament this year). Obviously the loss of McBride, which is looking inevitable and I can't blame him if he's looking at a first round selection, will be huge and irreplaceable production on both sides of the court.

You are going to see a lot of different versions of WVU Basketball this year.
At some point the team will be very good. Could win a game or two against Top 10 competition.
Might make a run to the Sweet 16.

There will be times they lose to a team like K State or Iowa State.
Especially in OOC there will be ups and downs

A lot of upside on the roster. Bringing in impact players.
Look at the NBA rosters and see how many WVU players are there. McBride adds to that
Need players who have NBA futures. Like I said I think Huggins is bringing a lot more in.

Just as good if not better team next year. The next team can play defense.
