Sweet 16 you say? Righttttttttttttt- The Recruiter couldnt make a Sweet 16 with Kobe and LeBron at guard
This needs to be saved so when we do make the Sweet 16, Coach can't say "well how could you not make the Sweet 16 with Dee, Sid, Moultrie, etc?"
There is NO DOUBT we have Sweet 16 talent- if we get the European we will have Final Four talent. Without the European, no way The Recruiter gets us to the Sweet 16- he cant do it. With the European, there is no way in hell even he could 17 it up. That would be easily better than the 96 team and should have a chance to win a title.
Help me understand something. You say Stansbury couldn't make the sweet 16 with Kobe and LeBron, but he could make the final 4 if he lands this European?

He is good, but we have the team in place with or without him. Saying him alone is the difference in making itto the final 4 is about as dumb of a statement I've seen on here.

the team we have in place is a good one, but you are talking about having to depend on guys like Hood and Smith making significant contributions as true Freshmen. Adding the Euro guy that has played against people at a higher level than HS would help tremendously to a line-up with Moultrie who has been on the shelf for a year and Sidney, who rarely plays defense.

And I would say that "you guys" couldnt get there, but since The Recruiter doesnt let you guys do anything but agree with him or hand him water, I'll put the blame on him.

Ask Calipari if Stans can coach. He will tell you he has played his pro teams as tough as anybody.

It doesn't take a great coach for his team to be up to play one of the historically best programs in the nation. And as others have said, where is this great coaching in November/December against the likes of Rider, Florida Atlantic, and East Tennessee St?

Good coaches have to play the hands they are dealt, even a Junior High coach ought to know that.

Yes, a junior high coach has to play the hand he is dealt. The problem is, a Division I college coach gets a chance to determine what cards are in his hand with that great recruiting you're talking about.

If Stans had had his way he would have never changed the style that brought him success but when you are undersized and have three point shooters, you play that way.

Enough with the "poor ol' Rick can only work with what he's given" routine. He gets to recruit the players that play for him. He should know where his team's strengths and weaknesses are. He gets the chanceto recruit accordingly. The fact that he brings in undersized head-cases is on him.

Don't take the bait now... at least wait until November to try your arguments.

You have heard about the relationship between a mule and stubbornness I am sure.

Stans is a good recruiter
and evaluator of talent, but he is a horrible floor coach. He can not win the big game outside of the
SEC. Stans problem with the Sweet
16 is
that he can not scout two teams on two days notice and make a game-plan
because
he can not institute a half court offense. This year he won't have to
worry as much because we will have 3 NBA draft picks on the team. The
RSS and Moultrie are 1st rounders and Dee is a 2nd round pick.

Stans
has horrible substitution patterns, why sub 4 or 5 at a time line a hockey
line? We
are not Duke or UNC, our talent level drops off substantially when we get to
the 8th or 9th player in the rotation. Why??

We
always let the other team dictate the tempo of the game. Why?

My
Big problem is that Stans found this 4 guard gimmick and decided to live and
die by the 3 pointer. He has never instituted a real half court offense. The “Motion” offense is just an excuse for
Stans to cover up his lack of having a half court offense. If
we don't score in offensive transition we
look just like a church-league team standing around and jacking
three's. Why does our offense not have any motion in it? Why does our
coach let the players stand around the perimeter and shoot an ill-advised
3 ball as the shot clock winds down time after time? Why?

Thanks for playing.......

Stansbury can't coach or doesn't know how to run many different offenses. I DO think Stansbury is a push over and his players don't fear him or respect him so you get "rec-ball" as opposed to a scripted offensive strategy. The problem isn't Stansbury's knowledge of basketball, its that he can't stand up for his beliefs or style. He let's everyone do what they want. Do you actually think he wants his wife standing and screaming for 40 straight minutes? Doubt it.

And you are right, Lot's' of dumb **** on here.

I think everyone should give bbdude a break, and let's see what he will bring to the board.
Beating the newspapers three hours is fairly impressive. So, he has some inside knowledge., so let's take advantage of what it is.

This guy seems a little weak and a little shaky. I think his pledge period should last a little longer to see if he has what it takes to stick around.

The hazing should continue.

He can't say anything that would be against his boss, who asked him to monitor the site. I doubt we see him posting on here anymore, but he or someone else will always be lurking...
You notice he had some good inside information, but all he did was pump the Stans-Sunshine in his posts and would not respond to any of the real questions I asked...

Get dawgstudent to check the IP's etc. You just can't stand the fact that some folks think rationally and aren't obsessed over Stans as you are. By the way, he is on a 12 day recruiting trip working his *** off for MSU while you sit on your computer and play with yourself. Some things never change.
...Douche34's schtick wears thin with me too, but give me a 17ing break. Of 17ing course Stansbury is working for MSU right now. It's his 17ing job! It's not like he's not getting paid for it. Go back to the 17ing lake with that sentimental BS.
