Fellow recruitniks, what's the deal here. I thought last I looked we lead for both of these guys. In fact I looked at 247, and the "crystal ball" feature had us landing both of them. What's up?

I thought we were in the lead also. That's crazy. You can assure they lead for Jamal Peters now. But we got eight more months and a season to play so who knows

It is a long way. If ole miss struggles out of the gate, all this recruiting momentum could come to a sudden halt. If they come out firing this season, they could put a strangle hold on us recruiting wise. We should be vandy fans...

I hate it, but the bears are killing us in recruiting. Billy Gonzales, we brought you in as a recruiting ace so anytime feel free to land a big commit.

Bad thing is, I think their older sister attends MSU......They are certainly

off to a good start and we all know they do their best recruiting during the dead period. I know we have a limited number of schollies to give this year with the number of seniors we have and the scholly reduction but you damn well know they are going to use the ole "probation" adage against us. We will in all likelihood have to play it "safe" this recrootin season given our recent penalties.

I'm sure all our recruits are hearing the probation pitch from all teams. As time goes by the recruits will figure out that it wasn't a big deal unless you're will Redmond. Gotta remember these recruits aren't fanatics like us so they don't know all the details of our penalty. So they're getting the details from reverend freeze and deacon kiffin. We might get back in on the moores

A 3 star and a 2 star? Who gives a sh*t about two of the Chipmunks? They are fast (sub 4.4) but little and well... not impressing anyone nationally. No SEC offers but us and the Bears,

I'm with you coach

Based on what I have read, they feel like our coaches gave them the run around. Well, excuse our coaches for wanting to see these guys in camp first to evaluate them instead of just offering them based on how they performed against Richton High School.

We have limited spots and we have to make sure that we make them count as much as possible- and it becomes even more limited since we need to make sure we get at least 2-3 JUCO o-linemen and a HS QB.

It's June, so I'm not gonna get worked over kids that aren't committed to us. What's the story on this Pollock kid that committed, haven't followed much lately

He's one of the Team USA kids. He's from Orlando and is friends with Robert Washington and Conner O'Donnell. I think he is going to be a really good middle linebacker for us. Our 2016 class has the potential to be really good. I've seen a little bit of film on him, and he looks really athletic and he can lay a lick on people.

Yea well OM waited until Calvin camped today before offering, so no that's not why.

We will end up with a great class. We will

Have to be selective which means we can't even think about a package deal on the twins like the bears just pulled. I score this as a recruiting victory for us. We didn't suck their cock like the Rebs so we lost them even though their plan was to commit to us. Deal with it.

obvious isnt it? we didn't want them anyway **

just ask coach66 apparnetly /sprival'd

*for the record I just can't understand why anyone gets so worked up about recruiting this early. there are all sorts of things in play that the average fan has no idea about (such as numbers for us this year) and not one of us knows either how the upcoming season will play out, nor what these 17 year old kids will do, regardless of what the esteemed Paul Jones tells you

You do realize y'all offered them scholarships on the spot after they were your top performers at your camp right?

I just can't too worked up about this because

It doesn't mean much. We have never beat the bears in recruiting yet we have basically been dead even with them on the field in the modern era in football while dominating them in all other major sports. We will be fine.

You don't even spin it well.

These guys camp with you all and were listed as a couple of the best performers at your camp. MSU pressed for a commitment from them. You offered at least one of them before camp. You know, based on his play against Richton.

They camped with us last night, after you offered the day before, and the other brother got his offer and they committed.

Yet you go on to brag about a 5'10-11" under 200 lb 15-16 year old LB commit that has never started a HS game at LB. Yep, you guys are selective with those offers. The pre-puberty LB camped with us also, but didn't garner an offer.

I heard they were both aspiring sports writers and even though they love State they couldn't resist the opportunity of kicking off their fledgling careers by being at Ole Miss in person to write about it when coach drops the nuclear option IT.***

If stars and BCS offers from other schools are your measuring stick, what does that say about your current class of commitments.

Thats not a real strong argument you made above.

I didn't say we have a kick-*** class going now--I just wouldn't want to waste 2 of our limited scholarships on two 5'8" chipmunks. Unlike coach66 I am very concerned about OM dominating recruiting "on paper." He makes a good point that OM has always out recruited us, but our records are about even. That was when OM was getting classes ranked in the upper teens or 20's, and we were 5-10 ranks back. We cannot hope to stay even if the Bears keep getting top 10 classes and we languish in the 20s. That spells annual ***-kicking if it goes on 2-3 years. But if you think you are going to be able to beat LSU or Bama with 2 or 3 stars, you're mistaken.

ATM? They just lost the #15 QB to the MBL draft. All they could replace him with was Kyle Allen--#1 pro style QB. They suck*****

They camped with us last night, after you offered the day before, and the other brother got his offer and they committed.

Their offer went, "You know boys, they don't buy new cars down in Starkville. We can get you a Special Edition Michael Jackson Z71, if you agree to share it."
