Actually they didnt do Joker. He was the inspiration for the future and real Joker.

Correct. They treat the Joker as more of an idea than as a person. It was actually pretty clever. The show is still pretty flawed though and I don't care for its interpretation of the mythos.

Making Babara batshit crazy instead of a likable character you would like for Jim to be with was a pretty dumb move.

I admit there are story flaws but it looks like it will be visually awesome. My son is interested so we'll be going no matter what reviewers say.

Also, since it's based on comics, I'll let them get crazy with the story line but I still say Affleck is a bad choice and Lex is a joke.

I wish they would go more of a daredevil and Jessica Jones route. Not be as edgy because of what channel its on but just be more character driven and dramatic.

They are rotating through characters and story arcs so fast on gotham that you don't have time to feel connected to anything.

Yup. I think my biggest problem with the show is the tone is all over the place. Some scenes are really violent and serious and then the next will be super campy.

Since we are on Gotham what the hell are they doing with Jim. This last episode no way would Jim Gordon do that. Don't want to spoil it for those not caught up but that was way out of character.

Yup. Totally out of character. At this point I wouldn't put it past them making Bruce a killer.

At this point why don't they just have Bruce die ... shock everyone and introduce a 20 year old Terry McGinnis , have him trained by some other super hero and become batman beyond ... sort of. Of course it would turn out he's a Wayne who was given up for adoption.

This doesnt make sense you say? Well it makes as much sense as Gotham.

Haha. I could totally see this happen too.

Anyone think this movie coming out in March is a bad sign? You don't usually see that for big budget films.

I also wish they would not have put Wonder Woman in this (wait for another film) and replace Eisenberg. He's atrocious for this role.

I thought the actual preview to the Wonder Woman movie looked much better than this movie. I still can't get over how bad Lex sounds. Its like they wanted to do him in a style of Moriarty from the show Sherlock only really poorly.

Not only does he sound like a nasally dork, he's just so tiny and out of place compared to Cavill and Affleck. It's as if you had two NFL players standing next to a 6th grader. Painful.

Not really. It was moved because Civil War was set to come out on the same day and there really wasn't anywhere else to put it. Hunger Games opened in March without any problems. The traditional summer window is becoming a thing of the past as blockbusters now are pushing into April and March. You've even got Deadpool crushing it in February (although that's kind of a special case).

I love Batman and Superman is cool, but I have ZERO enthusiasm for this movie. Anybody else feel similarly?

I've lost a lot simply because it's getting a Spider-Man 3 vibe with too much being thrown into the film. I felt you have the two biggest comic book characters of all-time in one movie. Why not let them get the focus and wait for Aquaman and Wonder Woman for the sequel?

It's funny. Zakk Wyldcat was the same email name as BLW. Same spelling. Odd. Be crazy if you were from Memphis too!

Allegedly Eisenbergs performance is 1 of only 2 good things about this film, along with Affleck

It's a lot of characters and there is certainly some risk there, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Guardians of the Galaxy had to introduce a team of five characters (plus villains) who the general public had never heard of and pulled that off pretty well. In this case, Superman has already been established and this film will introduce Batman whose story people already know. Wonder Woman I think is more of a supporting role and Aquaman I believe is basically just a cameo. I think Batman and Superman will be the focus with a tease of Wonder Woman. I agree you could have left her out, but we'll see what happens.

So Batman and Superman have a feud instigated by a frail, Gay Lex Luther, they have a fight in which they both get banged up but survive okay with no clear winner then they make up when Luthor unleashes an extraterrestrial beast who almost defeats both of them, but then Wonder Woman shows up and turns the tide.

That trailer not only defeats any suspense in the premise Batman Vs Superman, it acts as a long disclaimer: This is the lame plot so don't blame us when you spend $12 and it sucks.

Dc should stop trying to copy Marvel while trying to not copy Marvel. Or whatever it is they're trying to do with their franchise building.

They've been late to the game with everything except the Nolan batmans.

And they've had this idea brewing for awhile. Anyone remember I Am Legend? One of the movie posters in the abandoned Times Square was batman vs. superman, and that movie came out almost ten years ago

Most of the stuff comes from the dark knight returns comic about the fued.

Doomsday entrance is a little much.

Sounds like it's going to be massively overstuffed - which is usually a problem for sequels, not the initial movie in a series. I'm really afraid it's going to be terrible.

Meanwhile, an R-rated movie about a C-list, 4th-wall-breaking superhero(ish) who just wants to kick a guy's *** is drawing rave reviews and firing toward $300 million at the domestic box office. So get ready for that Ambush Bug movie in about 2 years.

No hype at all for this movie with me. Just looks forced and bad. Much more excited to see Suicide Squad.

If Bruce Wayne's dreams are indeed supposed to be prophetic, it's quite possible this movie will be a giant prelude.

Don't be surprised if the Justice League movie borrows liberally from another graphic novel.

Affleck has come a long way since Gigli and stoner roles. He was great in The Town and Gone Girl. And while I'm not sure about Eisenberg playing a super villain, he is pretty great actor himself. Personally, if there's anyone I'm worried about, it's Cavill. Two superman movies and.. that's about it.

Still have Jeremy Irons, Michael Shannon, Amy Adams, Lawrence Fishbourne filling out the cast.

I've been skeptical of this movie but I have to say that I liked the last trailer where Bats takes out the room full of bad guys like something you would see in a video game

All I know is that there is ONE lady here at my job that is all in for Superman. Walking up to the building from the shuttle bus stop when a 30 mph gust of wind blew her dress up to her waist. Yep....Superman panties. Could have been Supergirl, I dunno...but the blue and red with the "S" was obvious to anybody.

So now there is an R rated version of this movie that will be released on blue ray. Why should I not wait and watch that version?

I went to an advanced fan screening tonight. I'm not totally sure how I feel about it. Without spoiling anything, there's a lot of parts I liked and there's some parts (particularly the first half) that feel disjointed.

I really liked Affleck and the Batman-Superman fight lived up to the hype. Its certainly the highlight. Eisenberg was a pretty fun villain. He's sinister, but obviously different from the traditional take.

Wonder Woman is good, but her role is pretty small. I really liked Irons as Alfred. The other Justice League members make very small cameos with one playing a vital role despite very little screen time (probably not who you think).

Overall, the Nolan films are better by a lot (but I'm also a huge Nolan fan). I'm not sure how it will play with the general audience. There's a lot of teases that are fun, but will go over a lot of people's heads. The "Knightmare" scene will confuse the non comic book fans.

Well good to know that the Batman superfan with a Batman avatar that went to an advanced screening for super fans thought the movie was just okay. Pretty much confirms that its dog crap and a skip for me.
