There needs to be a contingency plan in place right now. He doesn’t get fired right now but you’re planning the process of having him replaced, assuming Pope doesn’t turn things around. A committee needs to be formed without public knowledge or even Pope’s to start searching for potential coaches to replace him. You need to know who is interested and who isn’t.Pope may be in over his head
I'm not throwing in the towel on him early in his second season.
He is coaching a team of guys who don't want to put in the effort. I have no idea why, but I'm not ready to admit he has failed. I'm not sure any coach can succeed in that situation.
I'm going to support him because he is one of our own, he loves this program and he loves this state.
At the end of the year is when to have the discussion on whether he should be given another chance, and I'm convinced he will do what is best for UK. I believe he will not have to be be pushed out, and if he fails, he will be heart broken to doing this to the Kentucky program.
