Did anyone else catch when the announcer said that Bama would be going for their <span style="font-weight: bold;">8th</span> national title, as opposed to their 13th?

I did notice, however, that when they were profiling the Chick-Fil-A bowl, that they had the Tennessee Lady Volunteers logo up instead of the regular T.

I giggled.

Well I think it actually may be only their 8th. I think 5 of their championships are retroactive, and all 5 are years where they finished 3rd or 4th in the polls, and didn't play in a championship game, or lost in their bowl game but were still given credit by 1 magazine poll years later. Its pretty dumb that they are allowed to count those.
