Someone posted on BDJ that Yancy is reporting that OM has arranged a team manager spot for Singleton's brother that comes complete with a scholarship.

They're pulling out all the stops it seems.

If it is being reported in that light "giving his brother a scholarship to get a recruit." Is that not some kind of violation? If not, why don't we give him the same deal but with a higher paying position.

On the wooly side- we're doing better with Singleton than a lot of people expected.

On the other side- Tobias is trying to fleece them and protect his boys.

Probably some of both.

I'm sure that we can find his brother a manager job as well, if that's what it's going to come down to.

maybe give him an Associate Athletic Director title.....
I was thinking along those lines as well, maybe Assoc. Dean of the Engineering School.

Or maybe, young Singleton could be the Chair of the Southern Studies program at State. MustkeepupwiththeJonses.

Its possible I guess, it just seems that a lot of posters on BDJ and some here talk a lot about what Yancy has posted, and I only read the spirit so maybe I don't have enough subscriptions because I haven't seen that posted by Yancy any where.

Im sure it is true, I just haven't seen it posted by Yancy.

Im pretty sure that we have offered Tobias' family double what we paid Vincent Sanders and Patrick Patterson, and only half of what MSU paid to Jermaine Whitehead.

that was a funny statement until you included MSU... but why say this stuff on a public forum...

Some people post this **** on here like they really believe it. I'm sure the mortgage is being paid off and a new Escalade will be in the driveway too. And if he ends up at State, it will simply be because he liked it better.

The return on the investment isn't too good. What about all the players we lost -- did we get out bid? I played D-II football and I can guarantee you that this stuff doesn't happen as much as some of you like to think.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but some people act like it's rampant. I guarantee you it is not. And that goes for your Bagman as well. If he was handing out hundies left and right, I would assume your recruiting would reflect that. Which, it hasn't. Bottom line is that at MSU's level, it's either rampant or practically nonexistant. I'm pretty sure Mullen isn't going to sacrifice his young and promising career by paying Jermaine Whitehead to come to State.</p>

at Parchman's big league team... A person has to be either ignorant or just plain stupid to not see and know whats going on up there. It's apparent by the big namers and 86 star recruits they seem to land each season, surprisingly right before signing day. Even Special Eddy can figure that out. They get $$$ and promises tosign, and then after a year or so, wake up and realize that it was all smoke up their a$$e$ and they want the 17 out. What blows my mind is how delusional all of their fans are to the fact that it happens there a ton. And I wouldn't be surprised if Tobias and brutha aren't selecting their trim packages, as we speak, for that Escalade on 24's. Maybe they need to revampt their business school up there because their return on investment recently has been $0.0000000, repeating of course. I'm not saying that all schools don't do this, but the arrogance in which these clowns do it, it's only a matter of time before they have an honest, NCAA, excuse for not going to bowl games. Keep throwing it in their face. The hammer is coming as soon as they get done with the big players.

...you got a freeze pop after every game, win or lose. They "took care" of their players, if you know what I'm saying.

So, obviously, this type of activity is rampant.
