Do any of you feel Ruters can really beat TOSU? If so why

because we just miss beating #4 MSU.
Likely? no. Possible with all things going perfect..possible.
I felt better with Jones playing QB. But JTB is now likely in and playing well. That's the biggest issue now IMO.

And if you don't believe, you shouldn't even suit up.

BTW..did you create that ID just to come here to stir things up or make a point?

I think the next three games are going to be absolutely brutal. As to winning any of them, stranger things have happened, but any reasonable person has to think it would be unlikely. Getting three competitive games would be a real good thing after last year's *** whoopings.
The last three games hold out our best chances to win the required three to become bowl eligible. Army should be a definite I think. Maryland looks pretty bad right now and Nebraska is hardly setting the football world on fire and they are both home.
We need to stay healthy.

much like the Michigan state game, this is a chance to hopefully show we can compete with a big time team...

.yes, Michigan state might
a bit of a pretender to that title, but we can hope for a sloppy Ohio state effort, and RU to play inspired, keeping it closer than figured.

and our team does not quit.

No. Awful match-up for us and they've caught their stride. I also still believe Michigan will be a brutal game as will Wisconsin (their D is very, very good, and Clement will be back...) and Nebraska finally looked got some confidence last night so that's still a "L" in my book. Gotta beat Army and Maryland to finish 5-7 on the season.

I absolutely believe that Rutgers can and will beat OSU! The game last night proves it can be done. Rutgers played with unbelievable heart and that goes a long way in any game. If championships were won just based on polls why even play the game. Rutgers has a lot to prove in the next game and I would love it if they were the spoilers to OSU's season.

Ohio State beat Indiana by 7, and turned the ball over. If Carroo plays, RU (somewhat) stops the run, wins the turnover battle decisively (like +3), and runs the ball decently, we have a chance.

We (kinda) know what a Rutger is, but what's a Ruters?
that is that news service?
osu have played down to their competition all year if they come into Rutgers and does what they have done all year and let us stay in the game (up to 25 points difference ha ha) we can come and get a late score and win the game!
That is why they play the game!

If we can move the ball and score some point, sure, why not. Turnovers will have to be in our favor too and avoiding drive killing penalties.

Can? Yes ... if OSU lays an egg (which they can do, as they are just kids playing after all), RU does not turn the ball over, gets great special teams play, and can move the ball a little bit at least.

Likely? No.

Mot likely is that RU gets blown out - this is a bad match up for RU at many levels. OSU's athletic explosiveness amplifies defensive errors. That is bad for RU, the way RU currently plays defense.

No, this was marked as a lost by 99% of the fan base, with that one crazy guy that picks us to go undefeated every year as the 1%. The odds of us winning are slim and none. However, perhaps it being a home game at night, we can get some of that magic fire burning and somehow, someway keep it close or at least beat the spread.

Almost beating MSU and then hanging with OSU would do wonders, and allow the team to believe it has a legit chance against Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska and give us a chance to pull off one or more of those games.

That is what I am hoping for anyway.

last year I thought, like many others, RU had a better football team than PU..... unfortunately RU had a WTF game with numerous interceptions, several where the ball would go off the receivers hands, the passes should have been caught.

we need something like that to help us along in the game....a team can have a 4 or 5 turnover day once in a while...if OSU has that type of game and we are able to sustain any sort of offensive drives, it can happen....

it won't happen without OSU's help.... they have to help us win, the way we helped PU last year.

A 20 point dog has won outright about 5% of the time since 2003. Extremely unlikely, but it's not like it's never happened before.

I think we blew our opportunity for an improbable win against MSU though. Teams as poor as RU don't have many of those efforts in them when they play good teams.

I'm taking the money line. Ohio State's conference winning streak can't last forever. May as well end in New Jersey.

8 years ago yesturday, 4-2 RU knocked off 6-0 USF, then ranked #2. We may be better then 3-3 suggests, and tOSU might not be as good as 7-0 suggests. Anything is possible if the team is progressing.

Not many people thought Rutgers could be Indiana after falling down by 25. But they did it..

Who cares what anyone thinks.

OSU has played some pretty pedestrian games this year. Is there still a hangover from winning it all last year? Maybe.

If they play like they did vs NIU or Indiana, yes RU has a shot.

The worrysome thing is every week you expect them to turn it back on. It appears they're headed that way after PSU.

When you post on the Ohio State board, your post count goes to zero. Same here when an Ohio State fan posts. Let's not be ******** to visiting fans.

did you not see what they did to PSU ? the same PSU that kicked our asses. OSU will look at this game as a cake walk and still trash us. we don't have the same talent and depth and with the way recruiting is going the gap will widen. hope I will eat crow here but I don't think so.

A lot needs to go right for us to win, and by a lot I mean everything. In an electric atmosphere, you never know. It will take a massive effort and a lot of luck, but it wouldn't be the biggest upset in the world.

This is the best thing about the B1G. We get ample opportunities to make things happen, as does every other team.

If Rutgers played Michigan State tough why can't they beat Nebraska at home? Carroo has to play of course.

Anything is possible, of course. But barring bad weather, OSU injury and OSU bad luck, 1% chance. With the league again vying for a playoff spot, we'll be on the wrong side of the refs too.

OSU hasn't been bulldozing through their schedule like I expected before the season starts. And RU did play MSU pretty tight. A win would be amazing but would still be happy with a solid showing in a tight game.
