he needs to do well in the portal with some OL help and a solid RB. Especially the OL!

He’s done well in the portal. Been one of the few consistent bright spots in his time. But can he get enough of them? I think they that is more so the question. Essentially need an entire OL and probably some depth. That’s a big ask.

Meh, - should've been done in year 2 or 3. I'm fairly confident it's too little too late now. We'll see.
Have to question why Beamer was twiddling his thumbs when it came to his prior hirings. Did Donati have a hand in these recent hires? The quality of these new hires is much better than the previous hires. Time will tell whether it is too late. But no question that Beamer better produce in 2026 or else. Cannot stress that enough.

Dline is just as big a need!!
D period .... I have stated so often that my biggest concern going into the 2025 season was our defense as we lost so much qualitatively and quantitatively .... Demetrius Knight and Kyle Kennard were HUGE gets in the portal ... did not expect that from either and boy were they critical ...

I think Cignetti is a little better at using the portal.

Yes Donati gets most of the credit. By himself Beamer was underwater in terms of his ability to hire top tier coaches. That probably won't change until Beamer (with the aid of the new staff) demonstrates that he is a serious contender in the SEC.

While I had serious doubts in Shane Beamer's ability to identify and hire offensive coaches, however I am very happy to admit he proved me wrong. Whether the current AD had anything to do with it or not, I could care less. I have been a Gamecock fan since the early 80's, in my opinion we now have one of the better coaching staffs across the board that I can remember. All four of the coaches he just hired are high caliber coaches at the position they have been hired for. I am very optimistic will see complimentary football within a year or two. Granted there is a great deal of work to be done on offensive line, but I am confident we have the right people in place to do so. Go Gamecocks!

If Beamer hits on his coordinator along with what he has coming back SC could be a player in the SEC next year. Looking at the conference right now it doesn't seem much better than the ACC.

Briles must have some magic insight into many olineman that could come this way. This is a complete rebuild. I was never as high on Thompson as the hype but Holly sht. WE are going to be trying out Long Snappers at Offensive Guard.

I'm not sure what happened, they all sure looked the part and had experience too, so I'm not sure what to say about them leaving, but as many have expressed on this forum over and over, this is worst Oline we've had in years and now they are gone for whatever reason, so I guess what I'm saying is we got what we asked for! Square One

They looked overweight to me. The O line at Indiana looks both big and fit.
