Up until yesterday, he has portrayed himself as the consummate team player and program guy. All of a sudden, at last night’s presser whebasked about his future, he said “my people will handle that.”

Total detachment from the program.

Harbor was wishy washy on his future. Kilgore flat-out said he would look around at what’s best.

This is a calamitous situation.

We all want him to stay because of last season. But now there’s alot to undo from 2025. And yes terrible OL, and yes Shula, but it’s also been pointed out the regression that’s on him, and that won’t be corrected by whoever Beamer brings in. So may be good both if he moves on.

On the business side of it - using the phrase “my people” is not something anyone should be saying after a season like that and it’s clear he’s gone. But at the same time, who’s to really blame him for that thinking? This has been permitted by the decision makers. It’s been exemplified by his HC. Two raises, both followed by crap seasons. You don’t have to continue to perform to be rewarded.

These guys that don't care can leave as far as I am concerned. I'd rather lose games without their contamination.
I said the same in my post about 2025 being WORSE than 2015. That 2015 team was bad but they didnt have a roster full of NFL guys and 4/5 stars. They fought every game, visibly were upset with losing. And in the end, took #1 Clemson down to the wire, closer than 2025 did vs .500 Clemson. And 2015 guys weren’t laughing during the loss and in post game

He also used the phrase " whatever is best for me" at one point. He missed an opportunity to express his commitment there.

Maybe he meant NFL? He's going to get a draft grade and have a decision to make there.

Good riddance! It's time to move on. No leadership, holds the ball too long, does not make quick and decisive decisions, poor reads, and is an inaccurate passer. The worst QB in the SEC! We paid 3.5 million for that sh@% show!

These are competetive young men. They can see that we have a head coach who is still pretending to be a head coach just like he did when he was a kid.

I can not blame somebody that wants to win for leaving this Ray Tanner sh** show.

They don't do well under pressure. Just like the head coach.

They are all 24/7 free agents. The advocates for this **** got what they wanted, players who dont GAF about the team
I was against NIL when people first started crying that players couldn’t sell an autograph or get money for their name on a jersey. My thing was ‘waah ’ - cry me a river. Suck it up for 4yrs and then make millions in the league. But no.
Well, here we are. What a mess.

But yet we all laugh at Dabo and say the game has passed him by for not using the portal. You think this might be what he is trying to keep out of the locker room?

People today just see 0-11 and write that team off. But those played HARD. That season set the table for our 9-3 season the next year.
We were not a fun team to play. You might beat us, but you're going to have to fight for it. And that was a good defense on that team.

This is yearly free agency with 0 rules in place. I really believe the NCAA just said let them eat cake. Problem with this setup the Schools each year like South Carolina will underperform and inturn have a harder time each passing year trying to get money to keep up in the NIL world. Nobody will continue writing checks every year with poor results. This will put a large swath of Schools out of any chance to field any kind of competitive team. South Carolina is a program that fits this mold of being on the outside looking in. I honestly see each year going foward in this NIL world being more of the same like this year and even worse for SC.

I think that his would not be the optimal time to go to the NFL - not for him.

You all are so wrong…. We have enough money to find TALLENT. And with the right chemistry we’ve seen what teams can do. We just need to nail it. Indiana says hello.

No clue what Sellers is going to do. I think he'll be back. Friends in Florence said we had a good one. Said it looked like he was playing with little kids in the backyard in high school. It was evident to start the 2024 season he couldn't through with coverage around. I think he wanted to show he got better. With the OL play, we will never know. Cost us cause he didn't take off as quick trying to go through "progressions." Any word on Duckworth? Credited Shula with commitment. Wasn't LSU his #2?

I really feel like Sellers' attitude in the postgame presser is very significant. He was the centerpiece recruit of Beamer's tenure thus far. They gave every impression of having a strong coach/QB bond. Seemed like he was poised to be that recruit who shifted the fate of Beamer's tenure.

The fact that he was so indifferent in the presser was very telling.

can you say that 5 years from now with bad results. Indiana happened to hit at the perfect time early in the NIL stage. SC hasn't. What if SC hasn't hit still years from now? Will the contributions still be flowing in? I think not.....

Is Indiana on our NIL level? I (anecdotal) thought i heard they had some billionaire throwing money at them.

Which just highlights how no one really knows how NIL shakes out from one school to another.

Also, I think Indiana's rise has been helped by the few ranked teams they play.

For Tx Tech, we know. It's oil money and it's a lot! $28 million this year, second only to TX.

They went from nobody to top-5 in one year.

Sellers is not worth the NIL $ we see paying him. Use that savings and buy multiple linemen.

And only looks at one receiver. That pass into tight double coverage to Harbor in the end zone was horrible.
