Not as easy as it sounds, signed through 2029 at $23MM base.DJ Moore will be traded after the season.
They were not glowing comments, that is for sure.Sounds like Kyler is the largest at risk of being traded based on Ben's comments yesterday
His effort isn't good and he's getting passed up. He has no one to blame but himself. Not as easy as it sounds, signed through 2029 at $23MM base.
I do not know the particulars on when he could be cut and minimize cap hit but with his year it's no given that teams are going to be lining up.
Edit, there is an out after 2027 season with a $4MM dead cap hit.
If I am understanding it correctly the Bears would assume $35MM in dead cap money, I believe it can be spread out over 2 years? His effort isn't good and he's getting passed up. He has no one to blame but himself.
Bears are going to have to eat it and hope they get something in return...don't think that's happening.
Hopefully someone thinks he’s just disgruntled in Chicago and a fresh start will benefit himIf I am understanding it correctly the Bears would assume $35MM in dead cap money, I believe it can be spread out over 2 years?
The more realistic trade comes after 2026 season, dead cap is $8MM.
Plus, the Bears are not in the most advantageous of cap situations currently, not dreadful but not to take a hit like that and add to roster like they will need. They do have the lowest dead cap hit in the league, which is nice. The base salary off the books gets offset by the dead cap hit. Even if they can spread it out over two years $17MM/year in dead cap money is a tough pill to swallow and I don't see them doing that.
That’s half the equation…Hopefully someone thinks he’s just disgruntled in Chicago and a fresh start will benefit him
Top 5 defense in most categoriesCaleb’s accuracy was improved, especially considering the conditions. Of course, the Browns are awful, but good teams bury bad teams. If anyone would have told me the Bears would be 10-4, I would have said no way.
He’s developing nicely.Lu dropped an easy one today. Tsk tsk.
True, their defense is good. Was speaking overall. The Browns are one of the many awful teams in the NFL. The Bears buried them as they should have.Top 5 defense in most categories
Vernon hills was on their state runner up teamTangential, but which north suburban HS did she go to?
Stop and think of the odds Vegas could have given you in August if you had bet the Bears to win more games than the Chiefs. Wow! I have been away from the board to say it here, but was hoping the Broncos would do the Bears a favor and beat Green Bay. And they did. And that was a real good game.True, their defense is good. Was speaking overall. The Browns are one of the many awful teams in the NFL. The Bears buried them as they should have.
With the Packers and Lions losing, the Bears are back on top of the division. Sets up smother huge game with the Pack next week. Who woulda thunk it?
Agreed. Guys went down yesterday too. I think it was the Colts, Seattle game where a guy caught a pass and was tackled. He got up and just fell right back down. That was pretty scary to see. A lot of big hits in the GB, DEN game too.Did not like seeing Rome aggravated his injury in pre game. I know it's week by week right now but I was kinda hoping he would be inactive to hopefully been ready for GB game. It's the NFL though, everyone is hurt this time of year.
Hopefully, Luther's ankle is nothing serious. Would be tough if both he and Rome are out. After the catch, Luther is electric in the open field. Loveland looks really good too. Looking like Poles had a great offseason last year with the draft picks and moves on the interior of the Oline.Did not like seeing Rome aggravated his injury in pre game. Finishing with 3 playoff caliber teams and two at home in the cold is a tough way to end the season. I know its "Bear Weather" but I cannot imagine playing 3 of your last 4 in frigid temps is good for the body. We’re 10-4 and in first place but feel extremely uneasy about these next 3 weeks.
Anyone else?
Sure. They have three tough opponents. But, look on the bright side. They have meaningful games at the end of the year. Any realistic Bear fan would have jumped at that prospect at the start of the year. We’re 10-4 and in first place but feel extremely uneasy about these next 3 weeks.
Anyone else?
Yes, but this is what we WANTED!!!We’re 10-4 and in first place but feel extremely uneasy about these next 3 weeks.

Rather feel extremely uneasy than extremely indifferent. We’re 10-4 and in first place but feel extremely uneasy about these next 3 weeks.

It is going to be low of 23F this Saturday with feel like temp in teens. That is completely different than single digits with negative feel like temp.Finishing with 3 playoff caliber teams and two at home in the cold is a tough way to end the season. I know its "Bear Weather" but I cannot imagine playing 3 of your last 4 in frigid temps is good for the body.
He shouldn’t take hard hits if he wants to continue to play in the NFL. Saying he is soft is just stupid. How many QBs would’ve made it through their rookie season taking the hits he took last year. He is smart to avoid the hard hits. Ask Dart or Daniels among others. He is listening to his coach telling him to get down or throw the ball away.I'll agree with most of this post - good stuff.
Except, nothing comes to mind of Caleb running anything like Mahomes. He just doesn't like contact and isn't the type to go get a yard if needed.
What an embarrassmentNow it’s Northwest Indiana? Kevin Warren at it again. lol
This is the definition of leverageWhat an embarrassment
