Traveling overseas so I didn't get to watch live but was following on phone (started at 2:30am local here).
Caleb comes up with another big moment.
Bears never quit.
Feels good to see GB feel the pain...lol.

What do you think of the move? Haven't you been to a number of Chiefs' games? For as fervently as the city of Kansas City has supported the Chiefs, it seems like a slap in the face. But, I guess that's the pro sports' landscape.
Because Kansas is willing to put up the tax dollars for a new stadium and Missouri is not

Sorry for the delay in reply. I wanted to talk to people who are actually living out there and feel the impact. Obviously the fans of Missouri are pissed off. I talked to a close family member who is a season ticket holder along with several others I know out there who are also.

KC did not have a PSL requirement for season tickets and honestly those tickets were very reasonable if you think about how good they have been for years. I had a good seat for the playoff game against the Texans last January and it cost about $180 a ticket. Here, that seat and playoff game would be probably go for more than three times the price. The new stadium in Kansas will require PSL. Depending on where you want to sit, that license is between $9,000 and $71,000 per seat. Then there is the price of the ticket, which will vary. They will use the PSL to offset building costs.

It came down to Missouri politicians completely dropping the ball on this. Imagine that. There are a lot of moving parts here. Not just the Chiefs, but the Royals want a new stadium as well.

So, the people I know said Kansas came in very organized, specific, clear and very quickly with their offer. Maybe under 90 days. The politicians of Missouri were very unorganized, and fought over tax breaks, etc. Time after time they got shot down. Actually, they had a chance to keep them last year at Arrowhead with renovations or a new stadium. A tax extension didn't get a positive vote back then.

There was another tax vote that got shot down and it pretty much ended Missouri's chance to keep the team. It is important to note that about 54% of Season ticket holders are Missouri residents and about 43% are Kansas residents. We all know it's right there on the Missouri river and going from one side to the other isn't a long drive. There are people in that part of Kansas who have money.

The PSL thing is going to cause a loss of season ticket holders who really can't afford the PSL where they want to sit or currently sit. My family member said they sit by a woman who got her grandfather's season tix when he passed away 15 years ago and he had them for decades. She can't afford the PSL. All the people around them have had tix for decades. My college buddy's spouse had tix in her family since 1963. Arrowhead holds about 76,000 and the new stadium is said to hold about 65,000.

More to say, but this is the Cliff's Notes version of it.

Hope the Ravens can beat the Packers tonight so the Bears clinch the division without even playing. Sounds like a nasty flu bug is working it's way through Halas Hall and a number of players are questionable with an illness for tomorrow's game.

I could be wrong, but the Bears still has a shot at that #1 seed. Knowing Johnson to this point, I think he'll be playing to win tomorrow's game.
An outside shot. Bears need to win both games and need Seattle to lose a game. Problem is that if Bears beat SF and Seattle beats Carolina I think that clinches the division for Seattle and that would give SF nothing to play for in week 18 against Seattle.

As it stands, regardless of how anyone does in the last 2 weeks the Bears can't be any worse than the 3 seed. I'd honestly prefer the 3 over the 2 seed and avoid GB who is all but certainly locked in to the 7 seed. Even though it would be at home the Bears can't count on getting as lucky as they did last week.

They will play hard vs SF and if the Lions game becomes meaningless then they should lay up vs Detroit but Johnson is so competitive I know he doesn't want to go 0-2 vs his former team...again smart play is to rest them but we shall see....some players don't want to stop the momentum.
*Side question, if Kyler Gordon is cleared, do you throw him in right away? He's played so little this year, I would ease him back slowly. Depends on the match ups.

DJ now questionable with illness. D.Wright did travel to SF, game time decision..
We'll see who plays but I was just reading that even if there is the smallest inkling that a player may not go due to injury or illness they have to be put on the injury report or the team can get fined. I'm guessing/hoping the Bears are just adding anyone with a sniffle to cover themselves.

It probably will be GB at this point. Playing a true rival for the third time in a very short period of time will be very tough. GB will definitely have a chip on their shoulder, and they will not be intimidated by the home crowd. They're very familiar with the Bears, so it would be a pick'em game for me. On the other side, this will be the third time Ben has seen GB, and although there are no comfortable wins, this game could be "easier" for the Bears compared to the last two in a sense they are in control of the game, are not playing catchup and will come out strong from the get-go.

Ruben Hyppolite II has been a bust. Overhyped in preseason and has done nothing even with tons of linebackers injured.

Sheesh, writing off a rookie after being injured and only playing in 7 games? Curious to know what your expectations of him were at the beginning of the season.

We all know the defense can be brutal at times, but this is atrocious.

Let's try a freakin' blitz at least one time.

Bears are playing a first-place schedule next year. If they don't fix their defense, they could be this year's Washington.

More atrociousness.
It's funny to see how people react when the shoes on the other foot. When Caleb makes those plays he's a magician, but when another QB does it, it's not that he's a really good QB it's that the defense is terrible.

Two bad defenses in this game.

Loveland and Burden continue to make plays.

Purdy has been making great plays, but the overall tackling and penetration by the DL have been severely lacking

Agreed, but it's not like the 49ers defense has looked good either, plus Kyle Shanahan is one of the best in the business at making adjustments. They have 2 OL out so he's going to adjust and call plays that get the ball out of Purdy's hand quickly.

Exactly, and he still has crazy clean pockets and open receivers

I never said one word about Caleb. This defense is way beyond atrocious tonight. They just gave up another huge TD.

I wonder what kind of game Purdy would be having if he was being pressured on more than 4 occasions.

Can U admit this defense is awful tonight?

Yes, both defenses have looked terrible. SF has also averaged 42 points over their last 2 games so if you thought this wasn't going to be a shootout and the Bears were going to shut them down, that's on you. Purdy had 5 TD passes last week, he's really good, not sure why you're shocked. Yes, absolutely the defense could have played better, but if you though this was going to be a 21-17 game then you haven't been paying attention.

Why are U assuming I wouldn't think this would be a shootout or a 27 - 17 game? All I am asking is for more pressure on a QB. If you can't grasp this, then that's on you and you haven't been paying attention.

OK, explain it to me. How do you generate pressure on those quick passes where's it's either a 3 step drop or no step drop out of shotgun where Purdy is throwing it almost immediately. A blitz is ineffective on quick throws like SF has been doing.
