BearUncle, one big correction needed by Derunnya. He needs to extend his arms

for the football like he does when he is going after a rebound. He is doing great but I have noticed this several times and it takes away a huge advantage he has over defenders. Have the coaches been talking to him about it?

I couldn't agree more. He is letting the ball get way too far into his body which negates his length. Hopefully this is something the coaches and Bear are focusing on because it would take him to the next level as a receiver if he would start using his hands on every catch.

Not using his hands to catch was the reason for his drop inside the 15-yard line that killed our 2nd quarter drive that eventually ended in the missed FG. Instead of using his hands, he let the ball get into his body, and it ricocheted off his chest. Also in the fourth quarter, we were driving and running the clock down and Dak threw a quick slant to Bear on 3rd down that he let get into his body, which gave the defender an extra split second to knock it away, ending that drive. He is still a very raw talent and those things will come with time and reps.

He is a great raw talent. Hate to see where we would be without him.

Agree he just had an off day. Still came back and made a couple of grabs. I am equally impressed with his blocking downfield. When someone else has the ball he is always trying to lengthen the play. He is fun to watch.

His blocking is some of the best I've ever seen from a WR. It's a thing of beauty watching corners trying to get around him as he steadily pushes them down the field.

Agree about the blocking downfield. He is a monster in that category

There was one play against UK where he blocked his defender at least 10 yards down the field, and the guy was still going backwards when the play ended. Love his toughness and the way he loves to block.

Great runs do not happen without WR blocking. Ours are great this year

Love watching Bear block. I didn't mind the hold against Auburn because he was obliterating his man during it.
