Tre Wallace also having another big game.

When do we get to the point where we stop blaming the players and start looking at the system and coaching?
Far more players leave and don’t do squat than the other way around, just like with all the other schools. When a player leaves and becomes all world- like Joe Burrow did with OSU, then we can worry about the system and the coaching.

It’s not a matter of if, but when, he’s out for the season.

Beau thinks he’s invincible, but he’s going to get injured because he loves calling his own number, especially on 3rd down.

mark it down 😘

Let's see what they do against quality opponents not Kansas and Kentucky

I said the same thing about USC and Hudson - 2 can play that game.

When the guys who leave, excoriated because “they cant get open” and somewhere else have no problem getting open…

Then your own QB struggles against Nevada and FIU and his leading target in game 2 is a TE again….

there’s a trend.

and Beau is nearly 80% completion rate in 2 games while our guy is barely 60…..

I guess we will see at the end.

When did Drew struggle?
Compare the offenses...factor in scheme.
The fact you or anyone else think Beau is better is laughable but...
Still love the fact you said he struggled lol

Yes, we will see Allar in the NFL and Beau becoming a dentist or something. And again, far more leave and don’t get open or don’t do anything, but cherry pick the ones who have a bit of success.

Beau made one bad mistake today and it cost Mizzou 6 points. Other than that, he played lights out and he throws a nice ball. He throw so many perfect passes where only his receivers could catch them and hit them in stride. Also, his running back is a badass.

Countless balls were behind guys in a soft Kansas zone
I'm not sure what people were watching. Mizzou does a very nice job running pick plays to create separation. Would be great if we used those concepts.

We have the best fans in the world when they’re cheering for guys who left our program.

I'm capable of both rooting for my Alma mater and acknowledging that someone that left the program on good terms played a really good game.
That’s fine, but so many use it as a way to trash James Franklin….as if he did something wrong. And regardless of the terms, he still left, so I’m not sure why that earns someone’s fandom.

When you only look at numbers
If Drew would have a fumbled giving up 6 points he could have gone 40/40 for 400 yards and everyone would he complaining
Don't fool yourself...the majority are just bashing Franklin and Allar. Apparently Drew has struggled this per the comments.

People root for him not only because he’s played at PSU but he also is a Penn State grad.
A PSU grad who’s playing for a competitor. I guess if we play Missouri in the playoffs we should cheer for Beau because he’s a Penn State grad.

Well, I've never said anything negative about Franklin. The only negative comments I've made were that the O-line didn't look great and the defense seemed to miss their assignments/gap discipline at times today. I'd guess that they're still shuffling the O-line a bit and they haven't settled in yet. They're learning a new defense so I expect it'll get better week after week.

As for Beau, I liked him when he was here, I hoped he'd stay, but he wanted a chance to play this year. I'm not claiming he's better than Allar. Am I supposed to hate him because he took a different opportunity?

We're not saying you're the problem. Others involved in this thread are.

Don’t have to hate anyone, but I just can’t see a reason to cheer for him.

Cheer for him? I'm not buying his jersey, I'm not going to attend a Mizzou game. I'm not going to have reservations about who I root for if we play them in the playoffs (spoiler alert, we're not going to). I also didn't start this thread, just participated.

I said he made a really bad mistake and threw some perfect passes. He threw a few not so good ones, too. I like the way their running back plays, dude runs hard and trys to obliterate anyone who attempts to tackle him. The game was a good watch and BP led his team to a comeback victory over their rival.

I'd guess at this moment, he's probably having a very good time enjoying all the perks of being the QB that the coeds at Mizzou can offer. Good for him.

People feel like they preemptively have to defend Franklin. Here is a news story fans are always critical of coaching decisions regardless of outcomes. Just how it is. Here is another breaking news report, there are very few owerri games pitched. Being critical does not equal hate or mean someone should be fired.

I don't like to comment on coaching because there is always a plan we might not understand being on the outside.

The only problem in this thread is you. Get that through your thick f'ing head.
Just because you wanted Beau to start here due to your obsession with running QBs doesn't make me the problem

The "oh my" by the OP set the tone and then you acted like a child which is probably exactly what you are.

There’s not a coach in the world that would have started Beau over Allar.

Beau got beat out at PSU dumbass.

Nor do I give a **** about a "running quarterback."

Good Lord, you are making **** up to defend your asinine position. Stop being a blowhard. I know it's hard for you, but try.
