Coleton Beck, Blacksburg RB and DB , will announce this Friday his college intentions between three schools. The choices are North Carolina, Pittsburgh or Virginia Tech.

My armchair guess is VT. Close to home and could play early on special teams or rotation of backs
Pitt is going they growing pains and their big time OC eft for LSU last year
UNC is injury prone and the bloom is off the rose with Fedora.

I would agree that Tech would make the most sense for him. However, if we wants to get out of town, maybe not the best place...

My guess is Pittsburgh #1, UNC #2 and VA Tech #3. I am guessing, but a few posters on this site seemed to be hinting that way. The VA Tech offer came late in the game, so that may have changed things. I am not a UVA fan, but he surely would have been a good fit there. Wherever he goes I wish him the best. Class 4 has been producing some sound, high level prospects in the past few years. Hope it keeps up.

I am a VA Tech, but dont hate UVA like some. I just think with his style of running, ability to catch the ball he would be a good fit in Bronco Mendehalls system.

Personally, I just want Virginia HS players to get an opportunity to play. Tech offered very late and there had to be a reason. Just my opinion, but in Fuente's system he would be a tweener. Kind of like Coleman Fox. Tech does have a very good track program, so that may be the straw that stirs the drink.

Again good luck to him. Some very good schools to choose from.

I look for it to be the Hokies, he also wants to run track and they have the best track program of the 3. UNC is facing NCAA sanctions and The Hat may be on the way out . Cole is a fine player and even finer young man , I'll be a Beck fan where ever he goes. Onward Cole

This is the correct answer.

He went to the Clemson-Tech game??? Man, Tech sucked big time in that game. I watched it and couldn't believe they were ranked 12th in the nation.

How badly should they have beaten the defending national champs, exactly?

lol over 100 recruits went to the game and witnessed the #1 college atmosphere in the nation . While we may lost the game , we made huge inroads into taking Va. back .
