The hate for this year's schedule is the late Vandy/USCe swap. At least the correction softens the 2014 schedule.

Going to SEC championship and New Year bowls help skew that number. Neither LSU nor State are ready for their schedules this year.

What Vandy/USC swap? Vandy was NEVER on our schedule for this year.

Weren't they supposed to rotate on? Or was it that Stricklin had been told they would after the aTm/Mizzou additions?

The rotation went out the window when we added Mizzou and A&M. There was no real reason to assume we'd get Vandy over any of the other potential opponents this year.

Here's what I do know. If Stricklin thought Vandy was on the schedule he jumped to a conclusion with no real basis just like a lot of the rest of you guys did.

Let's just say he didn't make the conclusion without information from the people who make the schedule. We took someone at their word, and got screwed.
Hopefully we take this as a learning experience.

That much is obvious, smart guy. But damn, it's not that big of a deal to play one high level opponent on a national stage once every 5 years. I personally would have preferred a home/home with Iowa State, but you sacrifice the national audience by doing that.

Here's what I know. The odds of Stricklin jumping to conclusions about having Vandy on the schedule this year is slim to none because Vandy is on our schedule next year.
