Alabama investigating claim WR Burton hit fan
Alabama is looking into a video that appears to show wide receiver Jermaine Burton striking a female fan who rushed the field following Tennessee's win over the Crimson Tide.
Not a Saban fan by a long shot, but in fairness, he did go on to say that it was an unfortunate situation (i.e. fans running onto the field which has happened with every Bama road loss since 2013), but that this type of behavior was not acceptable regardless of whether fans should be on the field or not. From the article:
”Alabama is investigating after a video on social media appeared to show wide receiver Jermaine Burton striking a female fan who rushed the field following Tennessee's 52-49 win over the Crimson Tide on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
"We are aware of the situation with Jermaine Burton as he was exiting the field Saturday," Alabama coach Nick Saban said a statement Wednesday. "We are currently working to gather more information."
Emily Isaacs posted the video on her TikTok account and commented: "Jermaine Burton smacking me in the head while walking past him after their loss Saturday," with a thumbs-up emoji and an #ouch hashtag.”
saban has lost control of the program. This may be the beginning of the end.

Alabama's Jermaine Burton Allegedly Smacked Woman In Head After Tenn. Loss
Alabama WR Jermaine Burton allegedly struck a female Tennessee football fan in the head following the Crimson Tide's upset loss on Saturday ... and the incident was captured on video.www.tmz.com
Yeah, not much he can say. If something similar happens down the road we should take a longer look at the issue but right now it’s nothing. It will blow over as far as the culture questions are concerned. Nobody’s going to pin this on Saban. Not a Saban fan by a long shot, but in fairness, he did go on to say that it was an unfortunate situation (i.e. fans running onto the field which has happened with every Bama road loss since 2013), but that this type of behavior was not acceptable regardless of whether fans should be on the field or not.
Fixed.LionJim is a UTk graduate and got hit in the head. No harm, no foul.
25? Out of how many?Fixed.
Addendum: I shouldn’t be so cynical about having a MS from Tennessee; they gave me a chance, let me teach, let me grow up a little bit. But my first exam at Maryland, I got a 25. Do the math.
25/100. Algebraic Topology with Walter Neumann. I wasn’t even the worst in the class. Maryland takes their mathematics seriously. During my time there, they were top twenty. (They had some superstars.) At that level, the best grade on a final exam would be 75, 80.25? Out of how many?
Do the math? What are we? UTk Masters grads?I got a 25/100 Do the math

They will give him one more game. Another loss and he loses the (Saint) designation. Soon Bama fans will start a BOB for HC thread. Nick is over the hill.....hung on too long.....selfish. I wonder if another loss to Georgia will have Bama fans pining for all the players that entered the portal? Demanding the backup QB be given a "chance?"![]()
